If you love football, you love socialism.

So many logical fallacies in this string that I honestly can't tell which point is being made. Is this pure sarcasm or just having some fun in making a point?

This is most certainly THE DUMBEST argument I have ever read on here. A capitalistic league of sports teams that makes billions of dollars a year is socialist? Who could even say this with a straight face?

I thought this was going to be about revenue sharing.

I LOVE my wife, football, I get to ENJOY. ;)

Interesting point to distinguish... don't enjoy your wife much? I'm married,so it's a serious question ;)

i watch the Super Bowl every year, but i played enough football to not really be a fan of it. also, it isn't socialism unless the means of production are seized and given to the workers, so football isn't socialism, either.

Oh, I was just doing a little husband joking.

I enjoy every waking minute I get to spend with my sweetie!

Truly I do.

If your ask her she will confirm that.

No need. I'm sure she would confirm. I'm also sure you mean the nice sentiment there.

Personally, I prefer the sleeping moments sometimes, but i feel the same way in general. I always always love my wife. I usually enjoy her ;)

Lets see here.

Do new teams join every year from a lower tier? Is there relegation and promotion? Can anyone set up a team and join? Answer.. no, because it is a closed league where the billionaire owners have final say on who can own a team.

If this was such a profitable league, then why is it that the league gets billions in tax dollars a year? That cities build billion dollar stadiums to give to the teams for free? Teams move in the middle of the night because of a better deal somewhere else...

Like it or not, most major "American" sports are so called socialist as hell with their monopolistic government funded and protected status.
