I have my own personal anecdotal evidence to refute that thinking.I think it has some more to do with culture. Gender identity is where you fit in culturally. Could there be a biological tenancy for certain boys to prefer things that are more feminine or vice versa sure, but I really think the idea of masculine things and feminine things is cultural.

You're talking about something that is integral to the person something that can't be changed something born in them. Sort of like the way people conceptualize homosexuality or heterosexuality for that matter.
