I would go to the future. I think it would be interesting to see what would happen in the future. It would be cool to see the advancements we have achieved.

Future.

Lottery numbers.

Past-I would tell the founding fathers how FDR raped their constitution and have them write it so it would note that the Commerce Clause is not a general empowerment tool, put the second amendment in plain language to read what they really meant and require a 90% majority to pass income and death confiscation taxes.

we wouldn't be stuck with the entitlement addiction we have now

I would go the the past, to England in the 1600's. I'd probably find myself spreading the knowledge of the 21st century, even if it would screw everything up.

mmkay... you'd come back to a socialist America because without FDR's progressive economic policies, capitalism would not exsist anymore.

Besides, what makes you think that you could convince them to change the constitution. What makes you think that FDR would become president after that? What makes you think they wouldn't think you belong in the looney bin?

Lottery numbers. Good one!

I said past because I wish I took the time to get to know my grandparents more, and I would like to ask them lots of questions (grandma, when did you lose your virginity? ;)). Seriously, I really regret not making the effort to be closer to them.

Past. Go back to a time before "human rights", before "international law"... and carve out my empire in an era more suited to a man of my ambitions.

Paradox be damned, when I returned to this century, they'd be fighting holy wars in my name.

The past!
I would encourage myself to participate in every acting class available. And push myself to go to Hollywood and become an actor so I could be in love scenes with the lovely and talented Ms. Diane Lane! :D

dammit!! I'm not obsessed! I just want to be her very good friend! I just want to live in her closet for a month or two! I'M NOT OBSESSED!!!

Don't worry, Ted; we aren't judging you. I believe I can safely say that all of us want to live in Diane Lane's closet for a month or two!

Past-I would show the founding fathers how the 2nd Amendment had been bastardized and they would laugh hysterically and say, 'is that amendment still there? Why? In fact many things in the constitution that we wrote need to be changed or rewritten; you aren't living in the 18th Century anymore.'

But seriously, future. I'd want to see if interstellar space travel occurs and if there is life on other planets.

I love Diane Lane too.....

I would travel back to the 50's when woman were treated like woman and a big date on friday night would be to catch a movie at the drive in and afterwards slurpin down a soda at a diner....where sexy was slippin the ole sweater down your shoulder only.........Who else loves Glenn Miller?

Traveling to the future would be amazing, seeing what the human race has accomplished, but I'd rather go to the past and tell the human race what they will accomplish, and, just perhaps, how to go about doing that.....

oh definately furture... just think of the knowledge. Lottery be d@Mned I'd be in the library of congress or online reading scientific studies for a decade.

The past I'd go there and convince my parents not to get married because this question makes me want to ****ing kill myself.

Oh but seriously folks I'd go to the past, kill Hitler, save the Kennedy's, Lincoln, and MLK jr., meet Locke and Jefferson, smoke a bowl of the sticky icky with Washington, kill a now endangered manatee with a pointy stick without fear of legal repercussion like god intended, ****ing manatees what the fuc/k do you even do is there even a species to fill your niche after you're gone, seriously WTF good are you? I'm not joking any species that can't avoid a loud *** boat propeller is on the endangered species list for a reason it's called natural selection people.

This would be the future.

I would expect the conservatives to want to live in the past, but maybe that's too easy

the people who want to kill the Constitution the most are the ones who call it a living document

Does that mean to you it's already dead? Hey, me too!;)

I wouldn't travel in time. I've read "A Sound of Thunder" (And, sadly, seen that horrible POS movie) and I'd be afraid to futz with the past, and I don't see what would make the future better than the present. Technology and science have changed life, but I can't say for sure they've made it better; I'm not sure what would change that trend in the next 10, 100, 1000 years. Anything I found out about myself would either make me worry that I couldn't live up to it, or depressed that I would live down to it. I'll stick with trying to enjoy my here and now.

Though I would really like to go back with a digital camcorder and meet Jesus.

guys who can't post anything of substance, let alone know what their talking about shouldn't post on forums.

Past.

See what that whole Jesus thing was about. I like a first-hand account of any good story.

Never said anything about killing it. Perhaps a little more appropriate for the times.

Oh, that would be the day, Henry, that would be the day: I wish I could travel through time to the time where only people who post things of substance and know what they are talking about post on forums.
