Superman: Red Son is a 2020 animated film that creates an alternative universe in which the infant Superman arrived in a spaceship in Russia, not America, and grows up to use his superpowers to advance communist ideals.

The story features Lex Luthor as his American antagonist, Luthor’s wife Lois Lane, Wonder Woman, a Russian Batman, the powers of the Green Lantern, and a surprise appearance by Iron Man.

One scene depicts Superman, as the Soviet premier, sitting, like Putin, at one end of a very long table, symbolic of his isolation. At the other end is the Chinese ambassador. Otherwise, there is little else in the film resembling today’s regime in Moscow.

Like most things the book is better than the movie

It's a good read

A comic book about superman ruling russia seems to have little to do with russia as it really is.

And this needs to be said out loud because......

PS, also a cartoon on netflix. An hour plus that I will never get back.
