I would encourage everyone to watch this video presented by Sky News. This video gives us a snapshot, a 'real life' look inside a hospital in Texas, facing "pure Hell".

The response to a pandemic is top-down. The more cohesive a pandemic response is on a national level, the more effective it will be. Trump decided to ignore the pandemic outright or fight governors who tried executing an effective response, the result being that on a national level the pandemic management was spotty and often pointless. And in red states where governors fought mayors' attempts to manage the response, those responses became even spottier and more useless without coordination at a higher level.

But you don't know how to do math or know basic mathematical concepts that a fourth grader would know, so I fully expect everything I just said to go right over your head.

FYI most Texas cities are run by Dems, what you don't grasp is Political Party is rarely a factor in Mayoral Elections here. I will also remind you that it was the Governor that refused to mandate masks, that is until opening up too soon bite him, and us, in he rear end. One other clue for ya, the virus does not give a chit what Party you belong to, it is an equal opportunity virus and wishing it away is as stupid as it gets.

So not only do you not know basic math, and not only do you not know the roles of the President and governors in managing a cohesive pandemic response, you also have no idea how to pick a position to defend. So are the mayors trying to legitimately respond to the pandemic or aren't they? Like everything else, you don't know.

Nashville is run by democrats, so is Memphis. Both decided to force the public to wear face masks; for the rest of the state it's optional.
