plus they decrease economic growth, which also hurts working class people.

yes, in theory jobs come here, but you'll have to prove they outweigh the hit. Generally speaking, economists think tariffs are a bad idea, but apparently our moron-in-chief disagrees with experts.

Inflation down by a small amount, wages up by a small amount but far more than inflation.

You’ve got a good point. However, I was talking about a Kari Lake which I’m sure would have done worse than Trump. But someone like Rubio or even Haley who in my opinion would have won the independent vote instead of losing indies by 3 points to Harris which is what Trump did. Not Kemp as he’s on Trump’s enemies list. But Kemp still won the governorship here in Georgia easily over Abrams, by 9 points even without Trump’s backing as did Raffensperger win secretary of state by 10 points. Trump won Georgia by 2 points.

Could the other swing states be the same as Georgia? I don’t know. But I do acknowledge Trump is great at getting his base out. But sometimes it takes more than just getting one’s base out. Now it's time to turn our attention to the midterms.

Rubio is 100% attached to the Trump administration now, even down to the same talking points. He's still 100% purely a Neo-con establishment politician, but in order to revive his dying political career he attached himself to the devil himself...and well the rest is history. With that said, yeah maybe he or Haley could have won independents, but does the GOP voter base, who worships Trump's MAGA style politics turn out for them? Especially if Trump doesn't even endorse them? Very unlikely.
