I wonder why heavy metal is popular in Europe,Japan,South America and such, yet isn't popular in the United States.

Cause i seen on youtube, when metal is played in places like Europe,South america and such, they pack stadiums, but in the United states, they often have to stick to playing small bars.

See how those crowds pack that concert in Germany?

Yet,in the United States, they have to play smaller venues.

I wonder what happened to cause Americans to forget the music they used to listen to that they were supposed to be loyal to?

There are plenty of heavy metal bands in America.

There are plenty of heavy metal bands in America.

I mean nowadays it's mostly about rap and pop music.

I remember back in the 80s' early 90's when i would see kids with long hair.

Because alot of heavy metal takes talent with instruments. Americans are too lazy for that.

The Music of the twentieth Century, from the twenties to the fifties and sixties and seventies was because there was a Teacher on the Planet and the art reflected his effulgence.

The Teacher left the planet in 1977.

Teachers come at five hundred intervals to the First Avatar in two thousand years.

We're in a ten-thousand year Golden Age of Preparation for the main event in five-million years.

Christ came 1500 years before, Muhammad 1000, with Caitanya Mahaparbhu in 1486 it began and the first Teacher was followed by the Antichrist and the First Tribulation (2020-2026).

Caitanya appears every three-billion years and this planet is an intersection of his and other's pathways.

It is noon, half-way between the last big bang and the next.

Bruh, this is a heavy metal thread.

But what? You guys don't rock? When you guys slam and bang heads, you're not doing it for Satan? And the Antichrist?

Kind of a stupid thing to do if you're American, but you can always go with the North Korean, but they're always such a trifle.

Where's the meat in you meat-heads?

Bruh.

Many members of metal bands are christian or born again christian.

Alice Cooper is a Born again Christian,as is Dave Mustaine of Megadeth,John Petrucci of Dream Theater is Roman Catholic,Tom Araya of Slayer is a Catholic, the drummer of Iron Maiden Nicko McBrain is a born again Christian, i saw some rumor that the singer of the band Blind Guardian, Hansi Kürsch is a Christian.

So you foolish virgins, I say to you, get oil for your lamp.

You're going to awake as a from thief the night, when all the Teachers and Avatars have been and gone and have no oil for your lamp to stand against He in his darkest hour.

You're a religious wacko?

Somebody has missed something:

almost forgot one of the best:

My kinda tunes along with many older

Because few Americans have the taste or sophistication necessary to appreciate heavy metal. ;)

Ozzy for Prez!

You're a religious wacko?
You're not?

Sorry, that's not a nice thing to say.

I'm a comedian.

I'm old school heavy metal, Led Zeppelin, art rock like Floyd, Yes, Kansas and then the Beatle vein with all the cannon of classic rock.

Back before the days of classic rock radio we really suffered.

Ah,much metal though has evolved from then. Like there is stuff like black metal, death metal, power metal, prog metal and such.

Agree, Big Zeppelin fan here, my guys back in the day, but there are lots more and other than the 70's and 80's ewww, there have been some really good metal bands that have come down to pike. My favorite, God I Miss him, while not metal, is SRV, have everything he produced, video or sound.

I raise you some Amon Amarth and Ensiferum

Will have to get back to ya once I have had a chance to listen, but thanks for the links, always love finding new tunes.

There is still bands releasing albums.

This song is from a album that was released in 2019

This song is from a Nightwish album that was just released this year of 2020

And actually the band Sabaton isn't pro war, they have sung various songs about the horrors of war.

Hear the sound of a machine-gun
Hear it echo in the night
Mortals firing rains the scene
Scars the fields
That once were green

It's a stalemate at the frontline
Where the soldiers rest in mud
Roads and houses
All is gone
There is no glory to be won

Know that many men will suffer
Know that many men will die
Half a million lives at stake
Ask the fields of Passchendaele

And as the night falls the general calls
And the battle carries on and on
How long?
What is the purpose of it all
What's the price of a mile?

Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men's lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out

Thousands of machine-guns
Kept on firing through the night
Mortars blazed and wrecked the scene
Guns in the fields that once were green

Still a deadlock at the frontline
Where the soldiers die in mud
Roads and houses since long gone
Still no glory has been won
Know that many men has suffered
Know that many men has died

Six miles of ground has been won
Half a million men are gone
And as the men crawled the general called
And the killing carried on and on
How long?
What's the purpose of it all?
What's the price of a mile?

Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men's lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out

Young men are dying
They pay the price
Oh how they suffer
So tell me what's the price of a mile

That's the price of a mile

Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men's lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out

Hear them whisper,
voices from the other side
Hear them calling
former foes now friends are resting side by side

They will never leave our hearts or fade away
live forever
they were far too young to die in such a way

how many wasted lives
how many dreams did fade away
broken promises
they won’t be coming home

Oh mothers wipe your tears
your sons will rest a million years
found their peace at last
as foe turned to friend
and forgive
And they knew they’d die

[Chorus:]
Gallipoli
Left their letters in the sand
Such waste of life
Gallipoli
Dreams of freedom turned to dust

Hell is waiting where the ocean meets the sand
Cliffs of burden
where the soldiers rushed into a certain death

At the shoreline
Blood of heroes stains the land
light a candle
One for each of them who fought and died in vain

There is no enemy
There is no victory
Only boys who lost their lives in the sand
Young men were sacrificed
Their names are carved in stone and kept alive
and forever we will honour the memory of them
And they knew they would die

[Chorus]

Oh mothers wipe your tears
your sons will rest a million years
found their peace at last
as foe turned to friend
and forgive
And they knew they would die

Two ways to view the world
So similar at times
Two ways to rule the world
To justify their crimes

By kings and queens
Young men are sent
To die in war
Their propaganda speaks
Those words been heard before

Two ways to view the world
Brought Europe down in flames
Two ways to rule

Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war

It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war

From dawn to dawn
They're fighting
Die where they stand
The fog of war lies thick
When armies scorch the land

When all of Europe is burning
What can be done?
They've been to war a decade
Two more to come

Long way from home
Döpas och dö i strid
Lifetime at war

Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war

It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war

When they face death
They're all alike
No right or wrong
Rich or poor
No matter who they served before
Good or bad
They're all the same
Rest side by side now

Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war

It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war

Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war

Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed

I think the late Ronnie James Dio mentioned it as well

There is so many bands that are underground that some people haven't heard about, mostly because mainstream radio doesn't play it.

Don't kid yourself, there are still some people who use FM radio and they don't know how to search for music on the internet.

Like this album was released in 2019 and is new music.

Different tastes in different parts of the world. Sucks because a lot of European metal bands rarely, if ever, tour in the states, because it's not worth it financially. Love Nightwish and saw them a few years back in Silver Spring, Md. The place was pretty full, about 5000 of so fans, but they play to crowds 3 and 4 times that size in other parts of the world.

I think part of it as well is that many US Americans only know mostly of the big 4,Metallica,Anthrax,Slayer,Megadeth,or bands like Linkin Park,SlipKnot,Shadows Fall,Iron Maiden,Judas Priest, and such, but don't know about other metal bands.
