I thought Twitter was supposed to be dead. The platform is thriving.

Twitter was supposed to be dead two weeks ago, yet the platform is more lively and active than ever. Downloads of Twitter is 23% higher than during the previous month and 42% higher than in a similar period last year!

Elon has Twitter going in the right direction, and we will likely see Twitter with a billion active users sooner rather than later. The great thing about Twitter and Elon is that he cannot be bought. The Biden administration has tried to undermine Musk but has failed miserably. This is part of Musk's genius and the Biden administration's incompetence.

First off, a $95.88 annual subscription to Twitter Blue is a fair price and something that will likely have high demand.

Compare the prices:

$239.88 Tinder Plus
$204 New York Times subscription
$143.88 Youtube Premium
$139 Amazon Prime
$95.88 Twitter Blue
$71.88 Reddit Premium

Twitter Blue being under $100, is a very good price! What exactly are customers getting for a NY Times subscription of $200+?

Secondly, the advertisers will come if DAUS and MAUS increase. This is not a debate. As much as we think many people are woke liberals, CEOs are mainly profit-driven. If they can get advertising at a reduced rate on an active platform, they will not avoid Twitter based on a woke liberal agenda.

Twitter is valuable. It is where a lot of people get their news from. People get news on Twitter hours before it is breaking news on Mainstream media.

The demise of Twitter was greatly exaggerated

And basically revenue free!

I don't care if Twitter is successful or fails. I just find it odd that now Twitter is the controversy du jour. It will either thrive - much like Fox has - or die. Or carry on as a modestly successful platform.

Here is what I don't get: if Twitter dwindles, the Leftists will gloat, if Twitter grows, the Righties will gloat. I have to ask - are you friggin' serious people??

I don't have Twitter, nor Facebook, nor TikTok, nor Instagram, nor whatever the new fad is. If you all want to get addicted to some social network, knock yourself out. I find coming here and a few other discussion forums enough, I rather spend my time with my wife, friends, and loved ones.

You do realize Millenials and gen z all grew up with social media? Gen z, in particular, has had social media all of their lives.

That will not likely change and the # of people on social media will likely keep increasing.

“There’s an ass for every seat!”

One day our children will hear of the great elon and tell them he he was and how he fought for millions of Americans freedom of speech.

Thanks E

The absolute funniest part of this Elon thing are people who thought Twitter was actually profitable.

Twitter was thriving until they banned Ye. I thought free speech was the Viagra for MAGAts?

Twitter was not successful even before Musk. It has not made a profit in 8 of the last 10 years and has 13 billion in debt. Now it's losing advertisers left and right and no one wants to work there due to all the cuts

Bots and poor RWers won't be paying to be on Twitter.

How much revenue do you think Twitter is pulling in Twitter Blue?

And just for a reference point, Twitter needs to make 1.2billion annually just break even.

Awww... come on.. $1.2B divided by $95.88 is only 12,515,645 subscriptions..... LMAO

Psst: Most advertisers don't want to be associated with right-wing hate, since their customer base isn't angry white incels.

They did, but Twitter and Facebook are social media 1.0; the youngins these days flock to TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.

People pay $200 for the NY Times and that's about $150 overpriced.
In your opinion.

So you want your "news" curated by whack job Elon. Good choice!

This should get the advertisers coming back in droves:

You can always tell who are business people and who are not. The people who are not think such short-term. Like four or five or six weeks.
