Especially in the summer when you're out all weekend having fun. I am just counting down the days until my Fourth of July extended holiday weekend, that was my motivation for getting my butt to work this morning.

So do Saturdays. I work Saturday and Sunday long shifts, instead of a Mon-Fri "normal" job, and every Friday, I feel a little depressed.

I don't owe anything, besides monthly expenses (utilities, insurance, etc), and food/gas/other necessities. Oh, and the yearly property tax bill, which sucks. It's still necessary to work, because having money in the bank, or CD's these days, pays virtually nothing.

My mortgage still has about 12 years left on it. It would be nice not to have that bill. How much of the hospital bills do you owe? I saw what the hospital and specialist doctors charged for my 13 day stay there and it would be like buying another house if insurance didn't cover it.

Last I checked, it's down to about 5k. Without insurance I would've been screwed and not kissed.

My mortgage is finally under 100k, so that's good.

I can't imagine paying for an extended hospital stay without insurance. I saw the bill for my 13 day hospital stay: $130,000! I didn't see who all got what from that, but I am sure the surgeon got a big chunk, and in my opinion, he earned every penny.

I know, right? The first round of bills I got for daughters surgery about threw me into cardiac arrest.
