isn't it interesting that the gov still hasn't caught on? i am speaking specifically about the "war on drugs." first of all, and most obvious, the name itself is redundant. firstly, there is no real war. that is just a name some stooge came up with to make the American people get interested, and support the gov in its "righteous" cause. first mistake. only the conservative wackos who actually believe in this nonsensical bull@#$%, would actually buy into that name. war on drugs, please. secondly, the drug industry, a.k.a the PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY, is one of the biggest, and fastest growing industries their is! and who's it run by, oh yeah, the u.s gov. second mistake. everybody does drugs! everybody! whether it is a street drug or not, does it matter? they do basically the same things. that's the problem with drugs, they do what people want them to. how many people out there have had a friend or someone they are close to, admit or have someone admit them into a psych ward? want to know what they pump you full of in there, against your will? hmm, everything from lithium to percasets. they turn people into walking zombies, using highly addictive substances, to...cure people? i don't think so. if anything, it creates more and more drug problems and addictions then there were to begin with. but, don't get me wrong. i feel that there are some drugs out there that are actually useful, whether its recreational street drugs, or pharmaceuticals. and the "street" drugs don't always have to be used that way. for instance, take a wonderful little plant called cannabis for example. it not only helps people who are suffering from pain, cancer, glaucoma, anorexia, insomnia and other various afflictions. it can also be converted into a very effective fuel which by the way is virtually non-toxic, to us as humans or to the atmosphere...which by the way, the u.s gov isn't concerned about at all. and don't tell me otherwise, because we would have seen action taken already. but i digress. say we do legalize cannabis. is there going to be a major surge in crime? NO. in fact, it would be just the opposite. it would take the people out of jail cells who were committed for a non-violent offense(the smoking or gestation of marijuana) and replace them with people who actually caused harm to others. oh yeah, and we wouldn't be wasting close to 20 BILLION dollars a year on "the war on drugs." sound like a god plan so far? it gets better. not only would the government be saving money, they would be MAKING money as well. no, they couldn't put a tax on the plants themselves, but think of how many businesses would pop up because of the legalization of marijuana. there would be "coffee" houses opening up. they could tax the property, and all of the supplies needed for a business like that. papers, smoking products, you name it! they could even put a restriction on how much of a plant a person could grow, like they've done in Oregon. even if a lot slips by, they'd be making more from it than they do now! try and argue that. oh, and the fact that they would be enforcing our FREEDOM of CHOICE. so then, any douche bag who used the line "we must end this scourge," would look like a total ***(which they are). the legalization would also allow for the production of hemp fuel, which i mentioned briefly, but there's more to say. the fuel is virtually non-toxic, inexpensive, easy to make, abundant, and we would be independent(meaning, we wouldn't have to rely on other countries to give us the oil at a ridiculously inflated price! sounds OK to me so far. there will be some people out there who would make the argument that there would be deaths and more crime, like car crashes from impaired driving for instance. well to those people is say, there already are laws against impaired driving. give the same kind of sentence to those people. generally its rehabilitation and drug counseling. and yes, alcohol is a drug. in fact it is one of the most dangerous and disgusting drugs known to man! but its legal(and the president likes to use it a bit too much). People on alcohol tend to be rude, obnoxious, people who fall down, slobber all over girls/guys(basically act like a whore), make bad decisions while driving or otherwise, get in fights, the list goes on, compared to people who smoke MJ. people who smoke are generally too relaxed to get in fights, contrary to what propaganda tells you, they are much better drivers than those drinking alcohol ( unless of course they DRANK ALCOHOL), they don't fall down, they don't act rude(unless that's just the kind of person they are) and they function normally. in fact, many trained professionals such as doctors, nurses, businessmen, construction workers, lawyers and others smoke and nobody even knows about it. i know personally at least one person from every profession that i named, who smokes weed. still think its that bad? do the research before you buy into the political scheme that the government would like you to believe. so, back to the issue of fuel, why haven't we converted yet? either to hemp fuel or hydrogen. Norway actually has or is completing a roadway that stretches along their southern border that runs entirely on hydrogen fuel. the technology is here, we could build the vehicles. and they're actually very cheap and compact. the actual engine sits on the floor of the car. so, right under your feet, throughout the length of the vehicle, the engine rests. you know what that means? that means, more passenger space, more trunk space, and my favorite part, more space for safety. let me explain. if there's no engine in the front of the vehicle, you could conceivably fill that space, or at least a good portion of it with, oh i don't know, high impact foam. the car companies could spend the money they saved on the making of the vehicle on things like reinforced cages, similar to those found in nascar or formula one vehicles, and fill the remaining space in between those cages with, yet again, high impact foam. so, not only do you have a cheaper, more efficient vehicle. you have a safer, more family oriented vehicle. PLUS PLUS PLUS, the list goes on. oh and not to mention the fact that its non-combustable, so if you do get rear ended at 60 mph, your gas tank wont blow up and kill you and/or your family. this all brings me to my main point. WHY, OH WHY hasn't the government done anything to market this? why haven't they done anything to better our lives and theirs? its because they all are moneygrubbing, lying, cheating, stealing, slanderous individuals with all the power. they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. not to mention the fact that they all, including BUSH make profit on the gasoline we buy. oh, and thank BUSH for starting a war that will never end. a war on "terrorism." WAKE UP PEOPLE!! terrorism is something that has been going on for a very long time, and it will never end. i guarantee that much. oh, and when the democrats say that they're not going to fund the war, who's going to fund the defense of this country when we turn tail and run back home? because you know, that there will be major activist groups trying to get into or bluntly attacking this country for all of the family member we slaughtered over there. i am NOT blaming our soldiers. they got into their line of work because they are dedicated, and responsible individuals wanting to do good for their country. But, the men upstairs are the ones controlling them and it is disgusting that BUSH would send them into another country to do what? waste all of our money, and MEN and WOMEN'S LIVES? and to those of you who do support this ridiculous war, let me just say this. the decision to go in was controversial. not just a little, but a lot. not only with the UN, but with the people of the U.S as well. and here is my point. we have set up laws so that, in COURT, in a place where official rules are made and upheld, if there is indecisiveness in the jury, the decision is not made to condemn. so, if we apply that rule to this situation. there was an unbalanced jury in the U.S and the U.N as well, and STILL, BUSH, that moron we have for a president, decided it would be in the country and the world's best interest to invade. try and argue that with me now. if its a hung jury, no decision is made and we had a hung jury, but a decision was made. and these fools are still concerned with something as trivial as what happens on this planet. are we so close minded that we can't see past our differences and agree that the preservation of the human race is more important? think about it. this will sound a little crazy but think about it. this world is not going to last forever, especially with the way we're treating it. either by some natural disaster, like a comet or meteor or global warming, or by our own hands, like a nuclear holocaust or something along those lines, this planet with eventually die off. it will happen, whether its hundreds of millions or billions or only a few years from now. so, why isn't something being done about this? why isn't the government spending more money on, lets say NASA!!!! so that even if this planet did get destroyed or became too unhealthy to even live on, we actually might have somewhere else to go or at the very least the human race would still go on? and i know, that money is being put towards NASA, and i know that they're making progress. but with more money, comes more progress. its a fact. the more resources you have, the better chance you have of making something. and yet, we are too busy, spending money on "the war on drugs," or the "war on terrorism," and wasting money on buying oil at inflated prices from some group of countries who monopolizes the industry, to realize our imminent, and i do mean imminent, whether in my lifetime or the future, doom. we will fail, this planet will fail, unless we, as an American people, stand up as a whole and revolt at this injustice to humanity. and who's at the top of it all? THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!!! I'm not saying we need to have a bloodbath of a revolution, but a drastic change needs to be made. we need reform. Thomas Jefferson even stated that we need to have "a revolution every 20 years." that may seem like a lot, but doesn't it make sense that we should step back and take a look at what we're doing and the way we're going about things every few years? it doesn't sound at all crazy to me. and i will admit, i don't even know how we would dig ourselves out of this situation, but that's why I'm writing to these forums. to see if anyone else feels the same way i do, about our government, about humanity, and about the world. we need to find a way to change it. we need to, i don't know, have a mass protest outside the White house, and continue the potest until a change is made. and it cant be just a few people, it has to be so many that the cops cant just walk up, mace a few, tazer and arrest a few and walk all over us even though its a freedom of speech. nonviolent of course, but such a number of people, that the government, and the miser sitting in the white house couldn't ignore. Ill say it again. we NEED REFORM. WE NEED A REVOLUTION. to save ourselves, our families, all the people in this world, and the planet itself.
