Jeb could have been president, instead of George, but due to a dirty campaign by Lawton Chiles and the Democrats in 1994, he lost the election for governorship of Florida, and by the time he got it in 1998, his brother had surpassed him. Now, because of the inept leadership of George, his political career is toast. I have always wondered what it would have been like with Jeb as president instead of George. So now the poll...

Article is here.

Voted that he'd perform the same as his brother.

The President is not inept. He is corrupt, and he is corrupt on an ideological level-- an ideology shared by his brother.

He's inept too. He can't even execute his own agenda without bungling it.

He overreached, but he's very nearly gotten away with everything. For all the media attention over policy failures in Iraq... his most egregious offenses, and the authoritarian philosophy behind them, have been all but overlooked by the "liberal" media.

His only real loss has been the 2006 midterm elections; between the nomination of two Supreme Court justices, the implementation of his faith-based initiatives program, and the passage of several laws expanding Executive power (not to mention the lack of rebuke for overreaching those), he's accomplished nearly everything he set out to do... and the consequences of those victories will reach far beyond the end of his term.

He may not be remembered as fondly-- and for the sake of the American republic, I hope he isn't-- as FDR or Reagan... but he's been every bit as effective.

Well, the media today is owned lock, stock, and barrel, by Mickey Mouse and friends. What passes for news nowadays is just fluff. That Disney today owns ABC makes the mouse comparison most appropriate.

I actually like Jeb. He's alot smarter then Bush for one thing and would probably have handled the situation after Katrina alot better. Sadly even the smallest trace of credibility has been destroyed by blood ties.
