You know, setting aside the whole January 6th Putsch and praising our nation's adversaries, I really cannot help but appreciate Donald Trump for his surprisingly incisive, cutting commentary.

I don't agree that DeSantis is a fraud, though in regard to any presidential ambitions he might have, he is beholden to the GOP Elites and their money men. For this reason, he should not be the GOP presidential nominee.

He should stay in Florida and do his job as Governor. After all, he was elected governor only five months ago.

If anyone on the left prefers Trump win the nomination over DeSantis its only because they believe Trump will lose in the general. That sure is a risky game assuming Biden is running or even if he doesn't run. If he does run he becomes a terrible candidate with a horrible record. I know I'll get responses about how everything is fine and dandy but we all know its not. If he suddenly declines to run the whole party is thrown into disarray with no strong contenders. Which itself is unbelievable. How can you not have someone far more competent and appealing to run than Biden?

I'm guessing most in the middle (and maybe even some on the left) would prefer someone like Larry Hogan win the nomination, but he's not running. Myself, I'd prefer Liz Cheney win the nomination. Can't say I'd vote for her over Biden, nor Larry Hogan, but can't say I wouldn't, either.

Cool story, but the reality is the GOP is a mess. Asa Hutchinson looks the best to me, at this point, and I've never liked him.
 

The best way for Trump to never be President again is for him to lose the Republican nomination. I want him as far away from the Oval Office as is possible.

The DNC has Newsom and Murphy - 2 governors that both have Super PACs already - sitting in the wings that would toss hats in the ring in a second if Biden doesn’t run. And that’s just off the top of my head.

They aren’t going to primary a DNC POTUS who wants a 2nd term.

That's the reason I have rejected the idea that getting Trump nominated is a ploy by democrats. Biden doesn't guarantee a victory by any stretch of the imagination.

Why not? He did it once and Trump has even more baggage since. The GOP needs to ditch him but they don't have the cojones. So they will lose.

You might be right. You might not be. Apparently you haven't noticed Biden bags are growing not to mention questions of his health and cognitive abilities. Just go right ahead and ignore your own polls.
 
I do think DeSantis needs to declare if he is going to run. His best pitch is to say he'll govern much like Trump minus the baggage of Trump. If he did win the primary against Biden he wins.

I don't understand how you can be so sure. You clearly don't believe in Obama's warning to 'never underestimate Joe's ability to F things up'. The classified papers was like a slam dunk until we find out dumb ass has his own classified documents laying about.
