Well- the research at the NIH on it has ground to a halt- because Donald is a successful businessman and I am sure he will tell us what to do about it. He knows everything- because he has lots of money- definitely more than all those doctors and scientists that’s at the NIH. Why would we listen to them when we have a rich businessman to guide us?

RFK can't change the situation. Unless you're out there eating someone's CNS, prion diseases aren't infectious. They're also not treatable. RFK's spouting eugenics talking points towards autistic people, and you're trying to score political points from prion disease? Focus on what's actually important.
 

DOGE is of course slashing jobs in the exact places that would work on this, because that's exactly how evil MAGA is.

Yeah, which does nothing for people in Oregon right now, does it? There's been some incredible research in using methylisation to suppress prion development, but that's not what this thread is about. Here, we're trying to blame RFK for something that no-one can currently prevent.
 
No, we are trying to show the current people in charge are in way over their head. And it's not just this it's measles, anti-vax bullshit, calling autistic kids useless and firing the very people that could actually help.

Yup. The CDC, FDA, USDA and other agencies would be involved in tracking the contamination. The source may still pose a risk and there may need to be product recalls and livestock quarantines needed.

What's the qualification to handle two unrelated deaths from prion disease? Can you tell me what Harris' government would have done that could have had a different outcome?
