You essentially described 99% of politicians.
5 deferment cadet fake bone spurs takes it to an entirely new level of scummyness.

I honestly don't know how any rational person can listen to his speech patterns and not realize he has a serious mental disorder going on.
But objectively Obama wasn't a danger this clown is. Obama was at least intelligent, measured and level headed. This ass clown is a loose cannon and not qualified nor does he have the temperament to be president. We are in grave danger this time around.
You had a choice & you made the wrong one. I just hope the U.S. is stll here in 2 years so we can vote to end this.
Tell me, why didn't Trump and the Republicans fund the wall when they had the majority to do it? The only possible answers are they didn't want to or they didnt know how.
He/she is saying that he/she agrees with what Trump proposed. The problem is, Trump was/is naive enough to think that all this could be handled like a business. What he didn't take into consideration is that politicians are worse than business people. Both are in for themselves, but politicians are groveling for votes and power. Business people are after money and power.
That statement is hyperbolic, if not just ignorant, political hackery.
The Republicans said the US would not survive Obama or Bill Clinton and the Democrats said that the US would not survive George W Bush, or Reagan.
Well guess what?
The US survived them, and the US will survive Trump.
The question remaining is whether the politicians in both parties will go so far afield that blood runs in the streets. The left is the one that riots, burns, and loots when they don't get their way. But, you ain't seen nothin' yet compared to what it will look like if it gets so bad that the average Republican takes to the street; just the thought of that is the very reason that the Democrats have been trying to take their guns from them.
They needed to wait for funding for Mexico which didn't happen until the USMCA. The wall is being funded through Mexico.
Simple answer?
For the same reason the Senate didn't approve that recent stopgap appropriations bill approved by the outgoing Republican House; when the original $25 billion deal was approved by the House it still had to get 60 votes in the Senate. They didn't want to use the nuclear option because there were enough Republican Senators (4 or so) who would not have voted for it then either.

Ah, so as long as you are getting your way, you won't be a danger in the street. Good to know. Appreciate your honesty about your feelings.
The "average" Democrat May have gone so far as to march in a rally wearing a pink hat. Looting and rioting is done by extremists, and yet here you are claiming to top that as an "average Republican"....kind of proving a point often made by the left.
Haha!As long as you voted your conscience, you should sleep well tonight. We are all free to decide and make our voices known at the voting booth.
Your voice, although I adamantly disagree with it most of the time, is just as valuable as mine. No more. No less.
No need to apologize or explain.
Although, I might add, one of the better arguments for voting for Comrade Trump is that the alternative was Hillary Clinton. People can understand that reason better, I believe.
That was then. This is now.
Knowing what we now know, still supporting Trump does raise questions in to one's character, but I digress.
You know Hawkeye, I still can't figure you out. But there are times you show promise ...I voted Trump of course, I have since I showed up here Dec 2015 after being thrown out of my last home (By the owner and against the rules I must mention) been one of DP's Premier Trump Supporters, and also a member of The Rebellion....one that now counts Jordan Peterson and Tucker Carlson as leaders...
I have never regretted it one bit, and I almost certainly will not, though I will not vote for him again and I have jammed him big on some things. If he goes around Congress by claiming a national emergency to get Trumps Wall I may Dump Trump as they say....I might then call for impeachment and removal.... this could be the line for me.
Yeah, but Trump is in a class by himself! You essentially described 99% of politicians.

Trump is a bridge too far, my friend. He's the wrong messenger, and his message got corrupted.I have you figured out.
And I am waiting.
Been for awhile.
ACTUALLY

Authoritarianism is not the way to go ...
Lose what? Our online friendship and discussion, in personal terms? Or are you speaking about some general societal thing, here?Do you remember back when we used to have long conversations about Pizza and Maxwell Street and Polish Dogs?
I miss that, we never had to lose that...My Uncle my dads brother was at the very top of the UW Madison Youth movement to overthrow basically everything and then went on to oppose and lead the resistance against a massive highway project through Milwaukee (they won)..... their Dad was a conservative as can be very old school in everything Kenosha Printer......they could always make it work.
We should have been able to make it work.

Let's face it folks; trying to dismiss Trump as "eccentric" takes the definition to a whole new level.
I'm sure a lot of my fellow "deploribles" will agree that being a Trump Supporter can be difficult.
He's obviously a bit gruff with crude mannerisms and can be totally belligerent at times without warning.
Most of all; Donald Trump is without a doubt the absolute worst public speaker ever elected to POTUS.
And being totally aware of this before the election why would I say I had no choice but to vote for Trump?
Why? Because no other Presidential Candidate has ever acknowledged both the internal and external forces that have been systematically dismantling the foundation of our nation's sovereignty and freedom.
No other candidate; whether Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or whatever, has ever even dared to discuss the taboo issues or solutions that might actually make America great again.(for lack of a better term)
So; yes I would prefer a smooth talking President with a beautiful face and friendly smile who could blow sunshine up the butts of all those doubter/critics and convert them to loyal deplorible followers.
But; until that well-mannered, debonair, silver tongued, saint comes along complete with Trump's agenda, commitment, and energy; we'll just have to settle for 'mr belligerent' awhile longer.
ie; It's a matter of the most basic priorities:
Do you want a pretty president who talks good?
Or one who knows what needs done and does it?
You backed the pony with hoof and mouth disease. You may have won for the day but the long term impact of your choice will be deleterious to your agenda. You cannot expect to force the reforms you want down the throats of the other two thirds of Americans and that they stick around come the next few elections. You actually have to win enough people to your side to want to keep the reforms in place. Trump is the perfect instrument for accomplishing the exact opposite.
