I am pro choice but I want Roe overturned.

It's called Federalism. States being allowed to set their own laws. Don't like the way your state is being run? Vote the bums out or there's 49 other states. You're free to move.
No thanks, I’ll happily stick with our Constitutional system of dual sovereignty.

Read your last post to which I replied, and then feel free to move the goalposts back where they were. Better yet, feel free to address my ORIGINAL comment.
Don't answer my question. In fact I refuse to allow it

I live in Colorado which is a blue state but why should I care if a bunch of white trash Alabamans want to ban abortion?

Let them have their little theocracy.
Left wing socialist/communists are are so worried about a children's book offending but they are OK with killing babies.

"I don't care about other peoples' rights"

Don't cut yourself on that edge, buddy.

Half of the fetuses aborted (translation for the ignorant "babies killed" ) are aborted by conservative anti-abortion women. Address your own baby killers before you start running around with your hair on fire because some pro-choice women decided later would be a better time to care for children.

The ruling in RvW was made by a conservative court looking at the constitution pragmatically. Just because someone has no reading comprehension doesn’t mean people don’t have rights.

Hopefully, one day, america will be civilised enough that abortion will be taken off the law books altogether, and abortion will be a matter between a doctor and the pregnant woman rather than a pregnant woman and a lawyer.

Name a state where it is illegal to own a gun.....or get an abortion

Is mandating government permission to own a gun the same as making it illegal to own one (at least in the conception of what a "right" is)?

Is there any other object for which the possession and use (keep and bear) of that item is recognized in federal law to be a pre-existing, fundamental right, but one can only possess the object (exercise the "right") after acquiring a permit? Understand, this permit issued by the police chief is discretionary; the chief could be anti-gun and be opposed to people owning guns . . .

Hawaii law states:

  • §134-2 Permits to acquire. (a) No person shall acquire the ownership of a firearm, whether usable or unusable, serviceable or unserviceable, modern or antique, registered under prior law or by a prior owner or unregistered, either by purchase, gift, inheritance, bequest, or in any other manner, whether procured in the State or imported by mail, express, freight, or otherwise, until the person has first procured from the chief of police of the county of the person's place of business or, . . . the person's residence . . . a permit to acquire the ownership of a firearm as prescribed in this section.

Does your question, "Name a state where it is illegal to own a gun" consider Hawaii, where any ownership is criminal without express permission, to be a state that is an affirmative answer to your question?

If a state required a woman to register and get a discretionary permit from the potentially pro-life police chief before an abortion, would that be a "infringement' of the right to abortion?

What if the woman was arrested and imprisoned for getting an abortion without the police chief's approval, would that be making abortions "illegal" in your view?

.

In Hawaii it is legal to own a gun

I have the right as a citizen to enter my country.....but I must get a passport first

I have the right to vote.......but I must register first

Its not getting overturrned. to overturn it or wanting it overturned would mean you want womens current legal and human rights overturned and are ok with them being treated as lessers

America is not going to move backward on this issue and violate womans rights.

THeres a reason that most first world countries with a government based on rights and freedoms have laws that lean prochoice
and theres a reason that a lot of countries that have laws that lean pro life are dictatorships and theocracies and do NOT have governments based on rights and freedoms
