"I am Nicky": Whitman's ex-maid emerges as symbol

Please explain: why is courting the Hispanic vote, the “last refuge of Scoundrels.”

Hasn't Meg Whitman's campaign reached out to Hispanics? Aren't Hispanics Americans, too?

But, more important, when Meg Whitman calls for a crack down on employers of illegal aliens and then when she herself is revealed to be an employer of an illegal alien and she claims that she (and presumably employers like her) is not accountable because she didn't know, what are we to conclude? Are we to conclude that under Meg Whitman's leadership the only people to be held to account are the immigrants? Isn't that the unfair and dysfunctional system we already have?

I rather think so.

Nicky had all the documents she needed to be employed by the agency. Meg Whitman had no idea she was using someone elses documents. Nicky also signed the document stating that she was legal to work. She is a criminal.
Just how much more was Meg Whitman supposed to do to insure she wasn't hiring an illegal?
