No.
I'm not a Democrat, either. I'm not a member of any political party.
I don't follow herds.
I am not a Republican. After all, ducks can't vote.
The real question is: are you? Why or why you not?
Thanks for responding.
Howard the Duck.
I am registered Republican as you have to be registered to a party in order to vote in the primary elections, but I do not consider myself a Republican as the Republican Party has pretty much left me as the Democrat Party did some time ago. I consider myself a classical liberal or libertarian (little "L") but there s no designation for that on party affiliaton questionnaires or here at DP.

Not a republican, not a democrat.
Not a republican, not a democrat.
I am an American.
Put your bats down. Yeah, I have Republican leanings but believe myself to be an independent. Quite frankly, Trump is toxic and out for himself and his family.
He is a con man. But remember it takes two to tango. There are a lot of not very smart voters out there.

Same deal here, I registered so that I can vote in the primaries. As it turns out I dont I like only being able to vote for one party. I feel like I only vote to screw up the parties ticket. I dont really consider that a good thing so I dont really vote in the primaries anymore.
Will probably change it back to Independent soon.
I still claim the Reform Party of my political although they aren't active in Georgia. Now I never considered myself a member of either major party, although from my childhood in the 1950's until Reagan I certainly leaned and voted Democratic a heck of a lot more than Republican. That changed with Reagan and the politics of the Democratic Party in which then leaned and voted Republican for the most part until Perot came along in the 1990's. Even though extinct in probably 45 of the 50 it's the Reform Party for me. Since Perot, I have any use for either major party, in fact I've really dislike them as it seems to me the way both operate is for the good of the party and not the nation. It's loyalty to party and not country. Far as I'm concerned, both belong on the trash heap of history.
My voting habits these days, candidates matter, party doesn't. In fact these last two presidential elections I voted third party. In 2012 I had lost all faith in Obama and didn't Trust Romney, the flip flopper who change a lot of his life long held political views so he could run for the presidency as a Republican. In 2016, it was third party again. I came to the conclusion that either major party candidate, Trump and Clinton would leave this country in far worst shape once either left office than when either first entered. No way could I vote for or support either. I have no qualms in voting third party or for an independent candidate when both major parties candidates disgust me.
My bottom line, it's all about candidates and not political party. If one thought about it, those who determine their vote by the R or the D, march to either political parties drum, the odds are they are voting for the best candidate half the time and the worst candidate half the time. Who's the better candidate doesn't matter, who can do the better job doesn't matter, only the R and the D.
Ditto. What are you when you agree or disagree on issues that both parties are strongly for or against?
I am a small r republican - that is in favour of a republic over a monarchy. If I was an American I think I would find it difficult to vote for a party apparently swarming with pea-brained Creationists.
That's just mean. I reported you for that insult.
I am an American.
Are you unhappy with the outcomes under Trump?
