During the Atlantic City casino boom in the 1980s, Philadelphia cabinet-builder Edward Friel Jr. landed a $400,000 contract to build the bases for slot machines, registration desks, bars and other cabinets at Harrah's at Trump Plaza.

The family cabinetry business, founded in the 1940s by Edward’s father, finished its work in 1984 and submitted its final bill to the general contractor for the Trump Organization, the resort’s builder.

Edward’s son, Paul, who was the firm’s accountant, still remembers the amount of that bill more than 30 years later: $83,600. The reason: the money never came. “That began the demise of the Edward J. Friel Company… which has been around since my grandfather,” he said.

So, is this his plan to reduce the deficit, just not pay the bills and then keep people in court for so long that they finally just give up and absorb the loss?

The Republican Party has been conned. Let's not let the scam artist con the rest of us.

I'm not surprised. Trump doesn't seem to be moral or ethical. He's a "win win win" the upper hand or the money or whatever guy, at whatever cost (not his cost, of course). Sort of like Charlie Sheen's infamous rant. Even if it's a little old lady whose home he's trying to get for a parking lot.

Trump is a scumbag and a con artist so this shouldn't surprise anyone. He has at every point in his life demonstrated that he puts his ego and personal wealth over everything else. The Lannisters may be bad but at least they always pay their debts.

Side note: you seem to declare in another thread that you've made up your mind on which presidential candidate to back. Are you intimating Hillary IS moral or ethical?

I read he's been involved in 3,500 lawsuits. He's put businesses out of business by not paying his large bill. (I guess when he's not trying to use eminent domain to take an elderly woman's home so he can use it for a parking lot...that was one lawsuit.)

See? He's creating jobs.

For lawyers.
