For those that wonder why many Moslems who are not among the extremsists dislike us in the USA, here are obvious reasons now given more solid substantiation that many of we more conservative and religious folk have long been warning about. David

(Undersecretary of State Karen Hughes in an interview with The Associated Press )

"It may take decades to change anti-American feelings around the world that have been aggravated by war in Iraq, U.S. policy toward Israel and America's "sex and violence" culture...Hughes has sent Arabic speakers to do four times as many interviews with Arabic media as in previous years and set up three rapid public relations response centers overseas to monitor and respond to the news.

Asked whether America's critics have any legitimate gripes, Hughes said yes.

"One of the things that I hear a lot, particularly in deeply conservative societies, is that parents feel kind of assaulted by American culture," Hughes said. "The sex and the violence that they see on television and movies ... some of the lyrics of our music."

The fact that American culture is so pervasive and accessible around the globe is "a double-edged sword," Hughes said. "Obviously, a lot of young people find our pop culture very appealing."...

I am not a Muslim, but I would agree with the sentiments expressed by Muslims who are incapable of understanding that such displayed behaviour in the Media, Cinema, Radio, TV is in actual fact nothing more than a display of freedom of speech.

They also seem incapable of understanding why we in Non Muslim countries accept as normal child molestation, adultary, sex crimes, murder, fraud, idolatory, theft and in many instances seem to applaud those that carry out such offences.

It is beyond me that they should be incapable of understanding these freedoms, we in the west enjoy.

I also cannot understand why they "the Muslims" would not act as we do especially after we have expended so much money and human life in overthrowing those that would have inhibited such behaviour in previous regimes.
