Awful lot of people give lip service the whole right and wrong thing. And shame on you foer voting for a bigot like Obama who uses something like religous belief to determine whether or not he should accept gay marriage. Why...that makes him as bad as...Huckabee.
So if most people believe it's wrong, it's alright?
What I've been trying to say is not if he is right or wrong in what he believes, but how he expresses this. It's like the difference between saying: I don't like chocolate, and saying: Chocolate will cause you to have sex with your little sister. Is this stating you don't like it, or pointlessly insulting it?
All I want from Huckabee is to have a bit of respect to gay marriage. He obviously isn't showing it.
I would have to agree, but also: don't care if someone is gay.
Perfectly rational to disagree with a lifestyle and also not care that they live it, for this reason I see nothing wrong with what Huckabee said.
Though, ultimately, why make these comments; they serve to do nothing but hurt gay people, if he actually believed Jesus words he would be seeking a way to help bring them out of that lifestyle and not condemning them for it.
Its really amazing how you lefties cite the first amendment on the issues unless it disagrees with your position.........
Huckabee likens gay marriage to incest, drugs - More politics- msnbc.com
Huckabee has attempted to maintain an image of a man who, while being opposed to gay marriage, is not a homophobe; however, given the recent statements by the former Republican Presidential candidate, this brings his opinion into question. If he is not a homophobe, why the attempt to demonize homosexuality in comparison with something as universally immoral as incest? Given this and his other declarations, it is clear that our good Governor Huckabee has neglected to read the vast majority of unbiased, scientific studies which conclude that homosexuality is psychologically sound, making him not only ignorant of the facts, but perhaps a little more homophobic than he would like to admit.

And he never will...He is a minister....He bases his opinions on the bible.....What part of that don't you understand?
Relgion and government are required to be separate entities in the USA. Why is it the right has such a hard time grasping this concept?
The church is not supposed to meddling in the business of the state; when that occurs that religion becomes the state religion and that is barred by the United States Consitution.
Huckabee's an utter idiot. Has this country really fallen to the point where imbeciles like him have a legitimate shot at procuring one of the two major parties nominations?
Ummm...have you SEEN the last two people elected?
...but he pardons serial rapists from life sentences (so they can rape and murder again) if they just tell him that they've "found Jesus". :2razz:Huckabee likens gay marriage to incest, drugs, and polygamy
You can dislike Obama, but you can't call him dumb. Bush was dumb.
Sure you can. Obama has the same amount of economic knowledge as a 4th-grader. He may have won you over with his oratorical skills and ability to obfuscate, but intelligent folks see right through him. Also, I'd be willing to bet he wasn't near the top of his class at HLS. If not, why doesn't he release them?
Even if he was at the bottom of his class at Harvard Law, he was at Harvard Law. You? But hey, you're smarter than me and Obama, and you can see right through him.
No, you can't call him dumb. Not with any credibility. That's like calling him a commie or a secret Muslim - an absurd overreach that has sucked all the credibility out of his critics, like you.
He may have won you over with his oratorical skills and ability to obfuscate, but intelligent folks see right through him.
You don't know my level/quality of education. I take umbrage to your presumptuous attitude.
I guess "bottom-up economics", 57 states, and teleprompters are all the rage these days.
Giggle. You're funny how you insult me and then whine about being insulted immediately afterward.
See, this is how I know a little about your level of intelligence. You actually believe that a guy who went to Harvard Law really, honestly believes there are 57 states in the Union. The idea that he simply misspoke, like most people do all the time (especially professors and other really smart people whose brains are working faster than their mouths) just won't do. It's why you have no credibility.
You know what's really dumb? This conversation. Bye.

I didn't insult you. I was unerringly describing your attitude. You can't discern between insults and legitimate criticism.
That tells me all I need to know about your intelligence. By the way, I wasn't insulted by your comment. I simply stated you know nothing about my level/quality of education.
Furthermore, I don't expect any credibility yet. This is my first day. Bye.
I'm no Bush sympathizer, but how many times was he ridiculed for his verbal gaffes?

"Never shake an unfamiliar tree. You never know if a leopard will fall out."Liar.
Right, you weren't insulted, but you "took umbrage."

Don't play with words you don't understand, son.
So now you've got less than zero credibility. Well done.
"Never shake an unfamiliar tree. You never know if a leopard will fall out."
Pretty sure you don't have 1/10th of the mental talent, vocabulary arsenal, or vault of wit that I was fortuitously bequeathed via genetics. Keep trying to demean me whilst I have no credibility due to being a neophyte. You'll learn soon enough what kind of powerhouse you're directing gratuitous, condescending remarks towards.
You talk awful big.

Hmm. Condescending. Like this?
Go whine to someone else, son.
