How will Hillary Clinton's Presidency differ from Obama?

It is perfectly in line with the far wrong philosophy that values symbolism over substance.
·
·
·
In the same way, they think it's better to elect a black President, or a woman President; than to elect a competent, qualified President.

Maybe being black or female is symbolism .....but the truth is ...when you have had nobody but old white male at this position all your life ...without exception ...I personally don't think factoring in this difference is a bad reason for voting.

Quod erat demonstrandum.

Yes, he did, with the encouragement of Cheney, Wolfowitz, and Rumsfeld, PNAC members all. Congress did authorize it, however, and Republicans won't let the voters forget it.

This must be frustrating to republicans today. In the past before mass media and the internet republicans mastered the art of .."messaging"! That no longer work bud ...even in their recent loss to Obama republicans reasoned ....to get the black vote what we need to do is ..."change the message"....change the way we talk to them!
They still think this is the 1960's or something ....they act like the "smart phone" hasn't been invented. In fact the Bush supporters are so into this messaging and labels ....they think calling themselves TEA PURTY today is "fooling" ...the public.

What the public concluded on the Iraq war is ...congress vote meant ....in the light of the 911 event ...if you find reason to use force ...go ahead.

In short they gave bush the authority to go to war ..IF NECESSARY! A major difference from than a vote to go directly to war.

You see back then they trusted Bush and trusted the respect he should have had for the office. Who would have guessed then Bush would have lied and manufactured reasons to go to Iraq.

Trust me on this bud ....the Iraq war is owned solely by Bush and the Tea Party ....and like Benghazi ...will have no effect on Hillary.

Here is my prediction: Whoever wins in 2016 will suck.

Her vote for the Iraq war may have mattered in '08...in a primary...the truth is ..Bush and the Tea Party own the Iraq war.

People clearly understand ...without Bush/Cheney in the WH plus the Tea Party support ..we wouldn't have ended up in Iraq.....that's the verdict.

Republicans will argue meaning less technicalities ...all day about this ...but nobody is fooled ...Bush rammed the country into Iraq ...end of story.

That is not "end of story" as it is not factual. It is good fiction though.

To take your line at face value, a person has to be nieve enough to think Iraq and other external (and even internal) forces had nothing to do with the decision making process. To imply that Bush wanted to wage war against Iraq just because it was Iraq is absurd. I still want to know who would have been President (realistic), given the same timing and same turn of events, that would not have made the same decision?

Let me say it simply this way .....the publican fully understand ....if you had a democrat in the WH during Bush era ...America would not have invaded that country.

You can argue technicalities all you like but the world understand Iraq was an ill gotten war ...and Bush with the Tea PURTY fully owns it!!

You see back then they trusted Bush and trusted the respect he should have had for the office.

That was their first mistake, wasn't it?

Who would have guessed then Bush would have lied and manufactured reasons to go to Iraq.

anyone who has been paying attention to politics for the past several decades, that is to say, hardly anyone.

Trust me on this bud ....the Iraq war is owned solely by Bush and the Tea Party

Yes, Bush anyway, but he's ancient history now.

....and like Benghazi ...will have no effect on Hillary.

You're probably right there. The voters have a pretty short memory anyway.

She wears a dress. I think she would be a better choice, but I don't know in what specific area. She is just less socialistic than BO.

LOL....I said this before and maybe you didn't get it.
Nobody cares anymore about the technicalities and the tricks.....Iraq was an ill-gotten war that is 100% owned by Bush and the Tea Party.

This isn't 1913 dude .....the world is connected today ....you cannot ..."message" your way out this fore-drawn conclusion.

My advice ...the GOP need to follow Obama's tactic when he first took office ....apologize for that war to the American people....and to the world.

Well some topics have been taken off the table because of Obama's eight year Liberal regime. Also whatever goes wrong with Obama care and other agenda Obama instituted she will have to partially answer for
since it will be difficult to be seen as opposed to Liberal doctrine.

I agree that our country is ready for a woman to lead our country. Hillary will make a good President because you know who will be in charge. Non of this limp wristed Bama nonesense. She will engage the right and compromise IMO, instead of getting her feelings hurt and trying to bring this country down with this manchild we currently have in office. I would have voted for her over McCain too because I feel she will get things done, but still disappointed with her over Benghazi at the same time.

Considering how ****ty she ran the State Dept...probably worse.

Compromise ...nah ...I think Obama's attempt at this ..over and over again is hurting his presidency. I truly believe Obama should have tried (when he could) to go around congress and get things done. The right is only going to hiss and puff and say the same things they're saying when he tries to compromise.

After his first year attempt at this Obama should have realized their strategy is to tear down the country and blame him.

Can Obama be anymore of a communist dictator ....as far as the right-wing is concerned?

I also blame Harry Reid for not getting rid of the philly-buster game when he could. When he wiffed at this ...it just reveals how Washington is more of a country club than anything else.

She wears a dress. I think she would be a better choice, but I don't know in what specific area. She is just less socialistic than BO.

When was the last time anyone saw her in a dress???

I imagine it will be fairly similar. The same people who have a problem with the black president will probably have a problem with the woman president, and there will be just as much obstruction. I imagine a Jew or a Latino would face the same obstruction. An atheist, Muslim, or gay president would face even more. Fortunately, the rest of the country has gotten more are more tired of this nonsense, and won't tolerate it for much longer.

Apologize for the war?
That will happen when pigs fly, Hell freezes, and San Francisco becomes a bastion of conservatism.

People will forget, trust me. The war in Iraq was an issue in '08, but it won't be in '16, not unless something else flares up and catches the attention of the electorate.

In other words, Hillary Clinton is more of a man than Barack Obama is?

That Race Card is getting awfully worn and tattered. Perhaps you need to get a new one.

Now you know how the people who the racism is directed at feels ....trust me ...they are tired of it as well.

America is stuck today ...because of this.

It's history when compared to a country like China is so very very boring because one word describes American history ...SLAVERY .....and we still cannot get beyond it. And part of it is ....nobody teach Americans how horrific slavery was .,....instead it is white washed and sugar coated as just one of those things that happened.

Bottom line is ...I have never seen such disrespect for any American president as I have seen the last 5 years in the Obama term. You tell what's different here?

See, I told you so! There will be a big difference: Today I'm a racist, tomorrow I'll be a misogynist.

obamas economy hasnt been satisfactory, hillary has too much dirt, and natural cycles favor a republican winning reguardless of conditions,as people get tired of the same party after 8 years.

I agree with all of that, but I still believe that Hillary, or some other dem, will be our next prez.

this country has shifted just enough to the left, that unless the economy falls apart in the next three years due to Obamacare or hyperinflation of the federal debt, there will be absolutely no reason for it to shift back to the right. As a matter of fact, unless the economy falls apart, the republicans are going to be absolutely humiliated by their claims that hyperinflation is just around the corner, than Obamacare is going to ruin our economy, and that the federal debt is unsustainable. Utterly embarrising for them, possibly to the point that no current high profile republican could possibly ever (as in never ever) be elected to POTUS.

You can count that democratic strategist already recognize this and are making plans to publicize the failure of republican economic theories.

The office of the POTUS tends to shift hands mostly on the merits of the economy. No one want's to go back to the last Bush days, and thats what's going to stick out in the minds of the voters.

That said, the only way that republicans can recapture the POTUS is if they can get a good scandal going. And they are very well aware of that, thats why they have tried to create mini-scandal after mini-scandal, and will likely continue to keep doing that until they either loose again, or until one sticks. You have better believe that dems are watching their Ps and Qs as they are also aware of the republican strategy.

I suspect that republicans will start toning down their rhetoric on Obamacare, hyperinflation, and the debt, in fact they have already started doing so. They also may allow an immigration bill to pass. however, I think they know that these issues that they created are bells that cannot be unrung. Their best bet is to hope that Hillary does become our next POTUS, and around that time it will be time for another recession, so she may end up being a one term prez based upon the economy - more or less like Bush (the elder) following in Reagans footprints, was not reelected due to the weak economy.

Part of the do-nothing-congress ...is borne out of Obama's attempt to appease the right....the harder he tries ...the more stubborn they get.
What sort of good, solid, conservative ideas has Obama brought to the table?

Of course I'm just speculating but IMHO the Republicans would have a real chance IF they choose a coherent candidate and:
•Stop with the abortion issue. We're tired of it.
•If Obamacare is so bad, it will fail all by itself without you babbling about it. Then, you can figure out the next move.
•Don't make your proposals with high bracket tax reductions as your crown jewel. In fact, just leave the taxes as they are. Most of us don't feel sympathy for those oppressed millionaires. They'll be fine.
•Propose specific changes to make government more efficient as method of budget matters instead of this generic "cut spending" mumbling that nobody understands.
•Propose more effective and enlarged legal immigration and the use of Everify as an absolute mandate. Forget the border, please. Sure, your buddies want to build a billion dollar a mile fence but that's stupid and won't work. So accept there are illegals but they can't get good jobs due to Everify so they'll take **** jobs nobody wants anyway. Let quality people in.
•Just accept that gay people have as many rights as you do. Mind your own business.
•Propose an investigative agency to make false disability, false welfare, false medical billing so risky that we will save billions to use for those authentically in need. Then show your kind side by expiditing the cases of those that are genuine.
•Propose a substantive tax break for corporation that use 90% American labor.
•Allow smoking in the White House:roll:

Because a lot of people are soooooo unimpressed with Obama, they will vote for your guy with a less neurotic platform. Like John Huntsman.

Your best line here is ...no one wants to go back to the Bush days.

You're right about that ...and with the republicans ...everything I've seen the last 5 years says that's exactly where we'll end up if another republican takes the WH.

They are invested in the notion that their .."trick"...in relabeling themselves ...TEA PURTY ....is actually fooling anybody.
They are un-apologetic ....and even defensive about the Iraq war ....and everybody that steps forward on the right is carved out of the Bush mold!!

We will get the same dam Bush Part-II again from the right ...and that's frightening to many. Even though Obama is in the tank with the big banks ...he's at least trying to contain them
The republicans in power (not the Tea Purty pheasants on the street) are fighting hardest to unleash these banks to finish the raping of the middle class that escalated under Bush.

I highly doubt Clinton will be our next president. Relative to Obama she's left-wing and authoritarian, and we all know what Obama's like. If Hillary Clinton is elected president, we can say goodbye to any and all of our slowly eroding rights.
