How Trump's incompetence is causing the coronavirus to spread faster.

There's a through line from Trump to the lady in California who contracted the coronavirus who didn't travel to China or know about any contacts with people who might have contracted the virus, and the story goes like this:

So, first, the news story:

The lady who got the virus without knowing where it came from, not having been to China, lives in Vacaville, which is only a few miles from Travis Air Force Base. Obviously, someone from the base who carried the virus came into Vacaville, got too close to the lady and she got the virus. They didn't test her right away because she didn't meet the criteria, which is to say she didn't come from any area known to have the virus.

So, the through line:

The buck first stops with the guy at the helm of the HHS,

Who is that person? Alex Azar?

Who was he before he was Secretary of HHS?

Well, he was a lobbyist to the pharma industry, appointed by Trump.

Now why would a woman, i.e., the whistleblower, who has decades of experience in the field, who received two HHS department awards from Azar last year and has received the highest performance evaluations, her lawyers said, why would Azar threaten to fire her if she didn't accept reassignment to a section for which she had little experience?

Because she's blowing the whistle, she's trying to save lives, and the incompetence she reveals puts Azar in a bad light. He's trying to cover up his incompetence.

Think about it. When the situation is critical, and things are happening fast, do we want a seasoned health professional whose reflexes, having been in similar situation during a career, would know what to do, down to details, or do we want a pharma lobbyist, who has no prior experience at all with this type of thing, who might not realize the importance of details, which can come and kick him in the arse, let alone cause people to die because of his lack of experience?

Who do we want in that position? But, don't blame Azar, blame Trump for appointing him and not realizing the total lack of wisdom for doing it. The buck stops with the president.

Apparently Trump doesn't see the value in hiring someone experienced in the field. He notoriously puts people in positions for which they are not qualified.

That's incompetence. I don't know about you, but it's not comforting to me to know that while a virus is killing people all over the world and spreading like wildfire, we have a president who is incompetent, and can't give it to us straight.

"It will disappear" he says. "We have wonderful people" he says.

Give me a ****ing break.

says the crowd that wants open borders. You guys are full of **** on the virus spread. If you aren't I'll expect to see some securing our borders to prevent pandemic comments. You won't though because lefties are full of **** as usual.

Then put it on them. This act of going all around the block to just stick it to Trump is starting to get old. Hell, even when I was still a democrat. The republican's didn't do this kind of crap to poke at Obama all the damn time.

Obama was not incompetent. He did not fire qualified people and replace them with inexperienced cronies. Like Ben Carson in charge of housing and urban development and Nancy Devos in charge of education. I could go on and on and on. Yes, it is trump’s fault

Your nonpartisan commentray is a real breath of fresh air.

Thank you. There is nothing to blame Trump or anyone else for. There is no outbreak in this country. Nothing has happened. The blame Trumpers are behaving like mindless trolls.

Something tells me your post isn't exactly relevant to reality. You're still saying that you'll blame Trump for his people not doing their job well, but Obama's own decisions lead to the same thing.

Trump may have surrounded him with incompetent people, but at least they're loyal. And that, after all, is what we want. His needs come first. He's the real victim here.

Are you kidding me. We the Citizens of our great country need educated persons in positions to help the American people. Not loyal buffoons to serve Trump.

What fantasy world do you live in. I have worked in environments that protect citizens and the professionals do their jobs wonderfully. And guess what, these professionals don't always live with loyalty to their bosses. A boss is a boss and is not always right. Loyalty is to the job not the boss

They were calling Trump a racist for stopping people from coming here from China when this started months ago and now its all his fault?

Democrats are such liars.

Leftists are mentally ill.

No it did not. We had no pandemic and the stock market did not fail. Obama did not send inexperience people to do a job that will spread the disease further. So I am not even sure what you are talking about

Trump = LITERALLY Herpetic Hitler

:2mad:

I believe you are reacting to a post that was said in jest.

They're like children. Their tantrums will never stop and just think, we might have 5 more years of this juvenile BS.

.

One cannot have a rational exchange with leftists for reasons you just stated. I have essentially given up on them. They're boring.

For someone incompetent, he came to office a billionaire.

He fulfilled a lot of promises... showed Obama he has a magic wand ... one Obama himself could have used if he wasn’t such a brainwashed racist... Commi-Lib. Basically a Bernie Sanders styled Commi with a slicker delivery.

He closed the border against the wishes of Leftists... giving us time.

As the most traveled to country in the world, and the few cases we have... May we have more of such Leftist defined incompetence.

You folks are wonderful... it’s funny to watch your types lose their minds and vomit idiocies publicly... not just the plebes, but the party leadership and their Goebbels Media.

Desperation + stupidity = 2020 democrats

Leftists have nothing to offer America except socialism, hatred, and their own special kind of insanity.

Sickening how the left can take something like this and make it all about being anti-Trump. The left get more disgusting every day. How do you feel about Italy's and South Korea's leaders?

No, thats exactly what I did.

You really don't get the "reject" concept, must be that intelligent responses aren't your thing.

The above is a an example of the unitary theory of the executive department in action, and why it's correct theory of how the executive department functions.
Trump has authority over HHS and thus can reasonably be held politically accountable for actions (or inactions) within the department.
He thus has the power to shape and direct how HHS conducts its operations.
He has the same authority to shape and direct how the DOJ and the various intelligence agencies conduct its operations.
The unitary theory continues to be the most democratic theory as it places somebody (the president) politically accountable to the actions of the government.

That post is total TDS bull****. This virus has popped up all around the globe. Places like Japan, S. Korea, Italy and Germany have serious outbreaks and we do not. Have you criticized the presidents of those 4 countries for incompetence? Or is your post exactly what it appears to be: a mindless, partisan attack based upon nothing but your hatred for the president. Stop being so desperate and stop letting TV hosts lead you around by the nose.

I didn't blame Trump for the existence of the virus.

I hold Trump accountable for appointing people who are not qualified to do important jobs.

I hold Trump for his obvious lack of preparedness, as evidence by firing a whole slew of people that should never have been fired in the health ranks.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/inve...e214a6-5983-11ea-8753-73d96000faae_story.html

“You build a fire department ahead of time. You don’t wait for a fire,” said Tom Inglesby, director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. “There is an underappreciation for the amount of time and resources required to build a prepared system.”

It is the kind of incompetence that leads to needless deaths.

I hold Trump accountable for not being honest with the American people, and when pressed for authentic information about the coronavirus, he answers with vague platitudes like " everything is wonderful, our people are fabulous, the best, the virus won't grow, nothign to worry about"

Trump is not loathed for being a human being.

Trump is loathed for being an incompetent, criminal, immoral, dimwitted, inarticulate, despicable, human being, all of which add up to one inescapable conclusion he is unworthy of the office.

In other words, his being loathed by a majority of Americans is not done in a vacuum, the minority of whom, having no defense, resort to mindless thought-terminating constructs like "TDS".

No one wants open borders. Democrats want sufficient immigration that serves America's needs, a path for DACA kids to become citizens and removing threat of deportation, stopping the practice of taking away kids from parents for only a misdemeanor, and various items that are just and compassionate

Quit lying.

Now this is taking TDS to a whole new level. Well done. Very impressive

I'll repost my answer from another rebuttal

If you want incompetence, HERE is incompetence. From Tucker Carlson:

Tucker Carlson: US is vulnerable to coronavirus because libs care more about identity politics than your life | Fox News
The CDC, which is America's main line of defense against infectious diseases seem to be caught off guard by it. The Center bungled the testing rollout for coronavirus. That means that still only a few hundred people in America have been screened for it.

So what was the CDC doing instead? Well, it was doing a lot of things. According to information from openthebooks.com, two years ago, CDC gave Georgia State University three-quarters of a million dollars to study social determinants of health in a diverse neighborhood in Georgia. What did they learn from that experiment? Nothing that helps us fight a rising pandemic.

Another $300,000.00 CDC grant funded to look at how an American Indian tribe in Washington State could improve health outcomes by eating traditional foods. Go to the CDC's website sometime. It includes an exhaustive section lecturing parents on how to properly administer timeouts. One suggestion from the CDC puts toys in timeout instead of children.

Who is in favor of this garbage? Nobody, really -- least of all the many good people at the CDC, and there certainly are. In fact, you've got to think the overwhelming majority of doctors and researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are there because they passionately want to control and prevent diseases.

It's not their fault. It's our policymakers who cannot resist making everything ideological. Their main goal is not keeping you safe. If it was, they wouldn't be letting rapists out of prison and pushing weed on your kids. No, their real interest is getting richer and more than that, feeling good about themselves. Protecting America does not make them feel good about themselves, it makes them feel guilty.

No one wants open borders. Democrats want sufficient immigration that serves America's needs, a path for DACA kids to become citizens and removing threat of deportation, stopping the practice of taking away kids from parents for only a misdemeanor, and various items that are just and compassionate

It looks like the trumpistani cult now has another CDS to go with Clinton Derangement Syndrome; that being Coronavirus Derangement Syndrome.

Trump may have surrounded him with incompetent people, but at least they're loyal. And that, after all, is what we want. His needs come first. He's the real victim here.

It’s really telling when all we see trumpistanis doing is caring about their ‘stock market’ re-election and not OUR Health. trump and junior just can’t help themselves from showing their truly sick colors. This crowd simply can’t relate to ordinary Americans, let alone show any degree of empathy.

Deal with the fact that they’re underfunding anything that has to deal with hard science. It’s all about short-term gain and who gives a **** about the long-term pain. I know damn well you’re better than this Fletch. Call your Senator Portman and give him the earful he deserves.

New York Times raving lunatic opinion writer Gail Collins suggests 'Let’s Call It Trumpvirus' because
according to her 'If you’re feeling awful, you know who to blame.' The first step to defending “our” nation
(as if she is even an American) is to shut her & all her ilk up.

Like global warming, it is now settled science:
Coronavirus is Trump's fault; Collins, Pelosi, Schumer, The communist Chinese, and the MSM all agree.

In other noteworthy news. Chinese state media continued their efforts this week to mitigate political damage
from the coronavirus epidemic by claiming Western concerns are founded in “xenophobia” and “white supremacist
racism” In a way it is humorous seeing the ChiComs borrowing the the Democrats favorite words and tactics.
Any doubt that the Chinese are working with the Democrats should now be put to rest. Obviously they are
working together, they are using the exact same talking points.
