1. Stop attacking innocent civilians in Arab countries and arming Israel
2. Come to terms with the legacy of western imperialism and colonialism that has made Arab states poor.
3. Crack down on anti-migrant hate speech on social media. Crack down on far-right European political parties based on hatred and racism.
4. Be more conscientious of not offending Muslims. Do we really need bacon prominently displayed in stores with heavy Muslim populations? Can't women afford a dress a little more modestly when going to Muslim neighborhoods? We need to make Middle Easterners feel more comfortable and they won't feel as resented.
5. Build schools and infrastructure in the middle east instead of dropping bombs.

1) Can't. We are at war and they are allies.
2) No problem. Done.
3) Can't. Unconstitutional.
4) They should be allowed to do anything everyone else can including wearing headscarves like Grace Kelly.
5) They have plenty of money and many wouldn't think of allowing western schools for their poor.

So capitulation? I say let's finish what the Crusades started. Sharia is not compatable with civilization.

Most victims of Islamic terrorism are other Muslims. So none of that crap you spewed means dick. They don't bomb and shoot people because of support for Israel or because of some wars our government may have been involved in.They do it for religious reasons. Who we chose to arm or not arm should have nothing to do with what subhuman scum who murder innocent people will do.

It's simple. We can attack the social problems that create terrorism or we can pretend like we can declare war on a noun on an enemy that just gets stronger every time you try and attack it. Every time we blow up a child's birthday party to kill a suspected terrorist we create 5 more terrorists and exacerbate the economic conditions that allows it to thrive.

4. is complete nonsense and 3. is unconstitutional nonsense, but the rest are rather on point.

I agree with this. Clearly the violent actions of radicals are to be condemned and are absolutely inexcusable, but we can recognize the role we've played in fostering the conditions that allow such radicalism to thrive. We didn't start the fire, but we did cover the room in gasoline and start handing out matches.

All wrong. We need to attack them at the source and start monitoring the mosques to root out militant imams. We also need to motivate social media sites to shut down the radicalism that occurs there.

1. We need to make innocent civilians understand the danger of hanging around terrorists. We need to give Israel all the weapons they need.
2. The Arab states that are poor did it to themselves. Those that are rich did it to themselves as well.
3. We need to crack down on who we allow into our country.
4. Offend more muslims in the hope that they will help us locate militant isamists.
5. Drop more bombs on Raqqa.

How about if we make sure not one person from certain countries can leave said country and also make sure they have no internet access inside that country.

Then we can handle the outliers one by one.

Your list is disheartening on so many levels. Arab states are not poor - the people within them might be but the money generated in oil over decades could have been used much differently to benefit their own people. It isn't Western civilization alone that has resulted in their destruction of their own land and people. Maybe we've played a part but we also have done everything within our power to help them achieve peace.

If we are to crack down on anti migrant hate speech on social media then we'd have to ban all stupid people from using social media and all haters etc. It just isn't going to happen. The people who were mowed down by the lunatic last night are, in all liklihood, not the ones that spread any of this stuff on social media. As for far right European political parties - remember many European political parties have welcomed the Muslim population into their countries and the Muslim's in return to the favor are anti - European. That's not really fair is it? It's like a house guest telling the hostess she sucks.

Bacon is good and should be displayed everywhere.

I'd agree to wear a scarf into a Muslim neighborhood if a Muslim would agree to wear their pants around their knees in an Atlanta neighborhood - tit for tat so to speak.

We could build schools but they would just blow them up. Our money is better used to prevent them from coming here and blowing up our schools.

There funny thing is if there was any discussion on islamic terrorism and restricting muslim immigration. He would probably be one of the first posters to bring up the fact that most victims of Islamic terrorism are other Muslims and then claim we are all paranoid because very few Americans and westerners die from an Islamic terrorist attack..

Wow. Such an apologetic approach.

How about we systematically shut down every hate-preaching Muslim site on the Internet? Begin seriously vetting every immigrant entering our country requiring they have a family willing to help them or a proven job. Can't get enough information on someone? They can't enter. Immigrating to the US is a privilege, not a right. How about closing mosques that preach violence? Taking away their nonprofit status? Are we actually SUBSIDIZING radical Islam with our tax policies? How about declaring war on radical Islam so we can use war powers to shut them down.

Not displaying bacon? Yeah, that'll do it.

Sure they did: by having their asses handed to them.

After the first Crusade, many became complacent and went home. They should have kept going.

Same problem we are faced with today.

1. Publicly target and kill any terrorist who gives orders at any level, avoiding most of the grunt level people. This will generate fear of being a leader and an understanding that there is a way out that isn't getting killed.
2. Bankrupt anyone who gives so much as one cent to a terrorist org. Cut off the funds and you cut off a huge part of the terrorists effectiveness.
3. Aggressively attack and overwhelmingly crush any organized effort (ISIS kind of effort) by terrorists. Don't allow them momentum.
4. Start working with the people who share a culture with the terrorists to get them working with us, instead of being neutral at best and supporting of the terrorists at worst. Show them that we share a common goal of peace.
5. Start exposing the terrorist leaders who get rich off of terror and show their followers that they are their pawns and not freedom fighters.

It's not a social issue that's behind terrorism, it's a power issue. They want power and they are wiling to do whatever it takes to get that power. The foolish ideas like yours support that effort by moving us away from the only response that power hungry individuals understand - greater power. Rolling over on your back only encourages these people. Look at the Clinton era when Hussein kept violating the cease fire and nothing was done about it. That showed terrorists that we weren't willing to use our power to stop them. Then we had the Bush era when we squashed them and squashed them hard and we pretty much eliminated Al Queda. That was followed by another weak President in Pres. Obama, which has resulted in an expansion of their efforts to gain power.
