How to Collect $1.4 Trillion in Unpaid Taxes

you might want to review that carefully.... You will find Republican Made A Pledge, "TO OPPOSE EVERYTHING", to understand what that means, then you can grasp the understanding of how choices were made to move 'what could get done, done"... rather than continually dealing with things that Republican were devoted to opposing.

If one knows society needs both "Apples and Oranges", and one was opposed fiercely, then wisdoms would say: If one had a choice to promote apples or oranges... and there was dead set and devoted opposition to promoting, apples... Then you promote Oranges and work like heck to advance as much apples forward as one can, and in doing so work to ensure that the opposition can't easily block the advancement made to move apples forward.

Republican spent more than a Decade trying to dismantle ACA... They also spent a decade trying to remove the regulations from banking, and they have tried to do anything and everything to tear down the protections built up to protect the people from the savagery of big money taking every unfair advantage they could over the general society and its community of citizens.
In the past decade, there is NOTHING Republican have done to advance ANYTHING that can and is devoted to helping American People, American Infrastructure, American Health Care and American Unity of Common Purpose to Advance The Values of Democracy. "Absolutely Nothing".

People seem to think the forces of Evil is a fantasy, when it continues to attack the forces of Good.... and we currently see Republican obsessed with attacking the good of even the basic simplicity of American's right to vote and the American system's right to make and keep voting simple, as a core element that our Democracy is Built Upon.

Perhaps if the ACA wasn't written on the backs of the middle class, things would have been much different.

You should have read the document, which I can see you did not by the posting of your comment. If you had read the legislation, you'd know more than to have made such a comment. It's not good to speak on things without having down the self invested work of reading to learn the principles that compose legislation, and if you had read it... you'd also know much about the antics of Republicanism... that attacked it incessantly. You do know that the legislation included provisions for "cost controls to stop the citizens from being ripped off". You do, know that under ACA, that medical organizations can no longer place a lien on ones home, behind a need for medical services.... it certainly appears that you could greatly benefit from actually learning for yourself, the legislation that built ACA.

Folklore spin, won't give your any basis for your repeating such spin... reading and understanding what one is reading, is the way to gain the "facts".

Just spreading the wealth around on the backs of the middle class.

Your ACA in action.
