Try to spin those lies, though, "where was the CDC" is a good question. Most of the early response to Covid19 was the necessity to get the CDC out of the way.

How come so many countries were able to do a much better job than the US. The answer is responsible leadership and functional government agencies. Trump defunded the agencies that were supposed to handle a crisis like this and he behaved like an idiot trying to belittle the virus (despite very well knowing how dangerous it was) instead of acting like a leader. And was actively trying to sabotage State lead efforts. So no, this is on Trump. He had his chance to become a leader, and he botched it bad.

Defunding and extreme budget cuts are a form of deregulation below the radar. This crap got a huge step forward beginning with Reagan/Bush.

Defunding and extreme budget cuts presents a thought that agencies cannot function so let's privatize and funnel trillions of tax dollars into bank accounts of special interests = tax dollars funding elections.
