How they vote in the United Nations:

Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records:

Kuwait votes against the United State s 67% of the time
Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time
Morocco votes against the United State s 70% of the time
United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.
Jordan votes against the United State s 71% of the time.
Tunisia votes against the United State s 71% of the time.
Saudi Arabia votes against the United State s 73% of the time.
Yemen votes against the United State s 74% of the time.
Algeria votes against the United State s 74% of the time.
Oman votes against the United State s 74% of the time.
Sudan votes against the United State s 75% of the time.
Pakistan votes against the United State s 75% of the time.
Libya votes aga inst the United State s 76% of the time.
Egypt votes against the United State s 79% of the time.
Lebanon votes against the United State s 80% of the time.
India votes against the United State s 81% of the time.
Syria votes against the United State s 84% of the time.
Mauritania votes against the United State s 87% of the time.

U S Foreign Aid to those that hate us:

Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against
the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.

Jordan votes 71% against the United State s
and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

Pakistan votes 75% against the United States
receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

India votes 81% against the United State s
receives $143,699,000 annually.

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes (and gasoline) .

Pass this along to every taxpaying citizen you know. And send to your congressman, who should be disgraced but couldn't care less.

Your tax dollar is working... it just isn't working for you.

Does any country aside from GB ever vote with the US?

These are bribes, not aid. Consider how much worse the behavior would be of these nations if they didn't get their payola. For instance, our intelligence gets wind of something one of these nations might be doing or is considering doing. We just tell them at the highest levels to desist or we yank cash. A billion here and there might just be cheaper in the long run.

What is your source for these statistics? And what votes are included? I find it very difficult to believe that India votes against the United States 81% of the time on issues that actually matter.

Getting out of the UN and proliferating this US and THEM attitude is not the answer. It's pretty sad that these country's vote against the US so much after the aid we give them. But were not doing ourselves any favors (nor getting any closer to solving the problem) by thinking that it is all on them.

Why are they voting against us? Are we trying to buy votes because we foster the wrong policies? What are we doing wrong? I ask that question not because I know the answer, but we don't seem to even consider it when evaluating the world around us. We were a great nation, we are a good nation, but were not a perfect nation. There is definate room for improvement on our part. Just maybe we should stop being so arrogant and intolerant of people that have different views than us. That might win more votes in the UN than cash. If it doesn't, then we just concentrate on being the best country we can be instead of acting like it without doing the work to be it.

Lastly, this one isn't news, but using the military as a first option to solve problems will never make this nation great. Solving problems through force only causes more problems if done without exhausting all possible peaceful means first. Other country's know this, and can see this in us. That may be why they vote against us.

We bombed the hell out of Iraq, build some bridges and schools, cause every terrorist in the world to come to that country, then expect their citizens to say thank you to us. Many of them do. Many do not. We can't change what someone else thinks. But we can change what we think. And the best way to show the world that we have changed how we think is this fall in the mid-term elections. Doesn't matter which party you vote for, as long as you are a well informed voter.

It constantly amazes me how two people that are political opposites can think alike at times.

Remember that just because you give countries aid doesn't mean they have to vote with you in the UN. If you gave them money to buy votes that would be wrong. Aid should be alturistic act not for favours in return!

Sure America has always bribed. Do you remember just before the Iraq war they bribed Turkey with a genous aid package to launch an invasion into Northern Iraq as well as the south. Turkey refused completely.....good for them.

!. Only because the bribe was not enough.

2. I put this letter up because after I see how we neglect our own people I was appalled to see how much money is used for "bribes" to other countries. Charity and aid begin at home. It irks me to see things like how the victims of, foe example, Katrina have been treated and then the government turns around and spends my tax dollar to help others who have little or no appreciation for the aid given them.

3. I and others are looking for links. When they are found they'll be posted.

4. Links or no links I sent the letter to my congressman and senators. Not that they give a tinker's damn about Joe American.

And true as some of this is, the welfare mentality that we 'owe' them anything is bullsh!t, just as it is bullsh!t on our part that they owe us anything.
But we should move the UN out of the country. Let someone else pick up the tab for housing a criminal organization, either that, or we allow the mafia and Yakuza to open up next door. Of course, we all know Annan and his cronies hate competition.

This comment is pure spin and nothing else. We waited twelve years for the UN to do something about Hussien. They did, too. They made a freaking fortune!!
We didn't bomb N Korea into the dust either. Nor Iran. But you do have to draw the line somewhere, and if twelve years doesn't make it clear to anyone that Hussein wasn't going to change, then nothing will. As for the elections, get some people to run that I think have some spine to them and aren't going to pucker up to the UN crew, and I'll change my vote.

Questions:
1. Where are Indonesia and Malaysia? They're both Muslim nations.
2. For that matter, where's Turkey?
3. ...erm, and Albania and other former Jugoslavian nations?
4. Since when is India a Muslim country? Over 80% of the population is Hindu.

What are you implying? Just because India and the others aren't your lapdogs, they're bad nations full of bad people? Why get out of the UN if you want the rest of the world to stop accusing the US of being arrogant and doing only what it wants? Desist with the paranoia and get over yourselves, because you're not going to win friends like that.

Do you realise the US owes the UN more in unpaid fees than any other member nation? Over one billion dollars and counting.

DO you realize that there are 600,000 plus (just for starters) of your own countrymen who have recently suffered a national disaster and are in need of food, clothing, shelter and jobs. many of whom are being evicted by the US government right here at home. Do you think it better to sacrificer these people so the US government and the Bush administration can look good abroad because during the first 4 years of their tenure in office they alienated almost every ally we had? Id that the fault of your fellow Americans who are in need? Or are you saying, as so many love to do, F++k my countrymen, let them do it on their own. I have to help the rest of the world. Charity, goodwill and kindness begin at home, shame on you. I didn't spend two years running around the jungles of SE Asian to protect the rights of others before those my own people, thank you. If you have such a great desire to help others before your own please pay that out of your pocket and not with tax payer dollars. Doesn't it make you sad to see how your own people are being treated by your elected government?

Bloody hell, I'd have thought everyone by now would know I'm not American. That much should have been obvious, given that I was saying "you" in reference to the USA throughout my post. Try again.

Well then walk a mile in someone elese's shoes and you might learn something about that person and their people. You live a long way from Biloxi. Go there have a look then YOU try again.

You had a hurricane. SE Asia and India had a great massive tsunami. Unlike SE Asia and India, the US is rolling in cash and will be able to recover decades before they do.

For what it's worth, a Category 5 cyclone hit my country just yesterday. Your point? S**t happens.

Complain? I am saying "my money my people first". Is that so bad? I don't think so. If I have one kid who can't go to school what? I am going to pay for the guy next door's kid first? Nonsense. What do you think, every American is rolling in money? That's pretty naive. You don't think there is poverty in the US? That's just ridiculous. You take care of your kids and I'll take care of mine and the neigborhood will be better off.

The question no one is asking is "WHY SHOULD muslim nations vote for the United States on everything?"
