How Obama is Invading Your Home

I well be careful and go out of my way not to use any epithets in describing how absolutely mentally challenged any one who favors any of this nonsense especially when our economy is about to take a major dump on every single American.

This is nuts and unnecessary now and are based on lies and have nothing what ever to do with any real problems that we face in the next several years.

It's all BOVINE SCATOLOGY created to add to costs and will have no effect on the HOAX of Global Warming.

In California we face complete and total ruin and bankruptcy over similar garbage that claims that AB 32 which was passed in 2006 to reduce greenhouse gases when the fact it the only thing that is going to happen if Prop-23 fails to stop it is to cost 1.000.000 jobs, raise the price of gas to $9.07 a gal. cost drivers who use freeways to get to work an average of $4,500 per year, and if your electric bill is now $260 a month it would go to over $300 plus.

Ab-32 will reduce no green house gasses in any measurable way and have no effect on gasses in the world because no other State or Country is going to go along with this BS.

Take one item in this story banning incandescent light bulbs. It has already cost jobs here and created jobs in China because they are labor intensive to make and that means we can't afford to make them here.

Bottom line if we end all this environmentally ill carp and do nothing, you will life your life and die in a world that is less than perfect.

If you get out and fight for all these wacko meaningless tax increases regulations ans rule and it all passes, you are still going to die in a world that is less than perfect but you will be poor and stupid.

Are there issues that could use attention? YES but not by way of draconian rules that have NO BASIS IN FACT.

This has got to stop and be replaced with calm intelligent logical ideas to fix real problems not imaginary crap that are about taxes and control.

So, you don't think incandescent bulbs are a tremendous waste of energy? That's imaginary?

What would have been nice would have been a gradual changeover, that allowed for keeping jobs here.

Oh, yes, wouldn't that have been great, instead of springing CFLs on us all at once... what? 1976?????

The spiral tube CFL was invented in 1976 by Edward E. Hammer, an engineer with General Electric,

It was invented in 1976? Wasn't that the height of the OPEC energy crisis? Why wasn't it manufactured back then?

it would have cost GE about US$25 million to build new factories to produce them

Oh, so $25 million? Still, that doesn't seem like much, given the possible profits. I wonder what venture capital genius finally brought them to market?

It was not until 1995 that spiral lamps manufactured in China were commercially available

Way to go, China! Who's going to buy expensive spiral fluorescent lamps! That bit of green technology must have been a marketing bust... what?

spiral lamps have steadily increased in sales volume.

Oh. Well, maybe not. Well, anyway, the US is still way ahead in green technology, right?

DALIAN, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- The China Greentech Report 2009, released Thursday in north China's coastal city Dalian, said China's green technology market would attract more investment and estimated a market with a potential value up to one trillion U.S. dollars annually.

So, for want of a $25 million initial investment, we lost out on being on the ground floor of a trillion dollar annual industry, and we're still arguing over whether green technology is a good idea. Is that it?

Yep. That's about the size of it.

Just weeks after taking office, the president ordered the Energy Department to speed up the process of issuing harsh new energy-efficiency standards for appliances.

In the pipeline are dumb regulations for almost everything that plugs in or fires up in your home.
Good. It's about time.

The State usually provides water and electric (in every State I've lived in this has been the case). If they want to make either system more efficient (and eventually less costly to the consumer) then good. Infrastructure is a good thing; it's what separates us from third-world countries like Louisiana. It's sad when people complain about improvements to the system, when there are more important issues to discuss.

Seriously what is wrong with you? I don't mean this as an insult I am just trying to understand how you came up with your statement from: "Take one item in this story banning incandescent light bulbs. It has already cost jobs here and created jobs in China because they are labor intensive to make and that means we can't afford to make them here."

Did I say anything about efficiency? Hell no I was talking about the cost of to our dying economy when dumb asses fall for one environmentally ill fear mongering HOAX after another.

I guess I have to use the following post I wrote a while back because it tells the you the truth.

The Environmentally ill movement is not about saving anything any more except their cash machines the heads of these money pits do very well by and never have to lift a damn finger because the rank and file who get out raise hell and even risk jail on occasion are all volunteers, who still think they are out fighting for mother
nature, when in fact that hasn't been the case in many years.

Look at the pay just a few CEO's I listed all get and keep in mind the Average American worker is about, $32,140 each year.

This makes the cushy jobs look a whole lot less than being a some idealistic altruistic noble cause an clearly all about the Benjamins to me. And all the facts showing widespread manipulation of facts from the about 11 found in Gores In-Convenient propaganda film to all the emails leaked or stolen ans so much more I really do wonder how those like Obama with his agenda to sink the economy so he can push
his Socialist/Marxist agenda can actually get up with a straight face ans lie his ass off about it time and again knowing that many of know he's full of sight up to his brown eyes.

California grossly miscalculated pollution levels in a scientific analysis used to toughen the state's clean-air standards, and scientists have spent the past several months revising data and planning a significant weakening of the landmark regulation, The Chronicle has found.

The pollution estimate in question was too high by 340 percent, according to the California Air Resources Board, the state agency charged with researching and adopting air quality standards.

The estimate was a key part in the creation of a regulation adopted by the Air Resources Board in 2007, a rule that forces businesses to cut diesel emissions by replacing or making costly upgrades to heavy-duty, diesel-fueled off-road vehicles used in construction and other industries.

Logical solutions to real problems don't require scare tactics, higher prices, more taxes, massive destructive protests, or anything any phony Environmentally Ill group tells you.

It doesn't even take a lot of new research to fix any real problems.

Stop being stupid and start thinking we can fix this without additional costs buy using our brains not listening to the Propaganda about the all the Hoaxes.

Clean burning coal fired power plant. That white stuff coming out ot the stacks is clean steam nothing else.
Intimates vary but but at currant use rates we have 130 years worth of coal, so cut that in half because we need to double the use in plants like the one shown. That's 70 years to finish developing clean energy we already have or come up with new and better ideas.
Get off the BS about CO2 it is just another Big assed HOAX.

Is the point how little non profit environmental organizations pay their CEOs in comparison to for profit corporations, or are you under the delusion that the organizations you listed are taxpayer supported?

Did you read my link about how green technology promises to be a trillion dollar a year industry in China? Why can't the US get in on that, even if it is somewhat belated?

Steam and nothing else? I doubt it. I have worked around power plants most of my life.

There is no such thing as clean coal. There IS cleaner coal, but not clean coal, and the cleaner coal is only slightly cleaned up. The expense to burn coal cleanly is very expensive, more than a nuclear power plant would cost. Sequestering co2 is hard to do, completely cleaning out the various pollutants is impossible to do....

Why on earth do you waste money buying so many lightbulbs a month? Nearly 300 light bulbs a year, unless you have electrical problems you should not have to change more then 2 a year (or clumsy kids)

Uhh.. because I like them and I want to continue using them after our insane government says they can no longer be manufactured, or is that no longer happening?

What could you possibily like that would be so diferent as to want to spend so much more?

regular incandescents may go away or be limited in production, but Halogens will still be around, and they give out more lumens per watt than incandesdents.
one big problem with CFL, they don't last as long as advertised if installed where the heat can't be disipated.
Open lamps are kinder to CFL bulbs than enclosed ones, like ceiling light fixtures. and they should be disposed of properly. I take mine to Lowe's.

You like light bulbs?

Are you into the designer ones?

Once again, a government agencies unaccountable to the masses shoving crap down our throats.

.

Just wait till this smart grid technology become mainstream, and the govt can measure the power usage of every little appliance in your home.

Smart grid isn't that smart....
but some utilities already have the means to shut off power to some of your larger loads, IF you buy the system and let them install it. You get lower rates because you agree to allow them to shut off your larger loads, like electric clothes dryer, water heater, AC for a few hours at a time, when they might be close to a "brown out".

How long before it's mandatory through buidling codes?

I would bet a long time, getting old thinking builders to do something new and modern is not that easy...
