It's of note too that documents/statements filed in court must be very defensible because filing them in court makes them sworn declarations.

Trump and his attorneys may say it's not true; however, they'd have to show up in court and refute the declarations, thus subjecting Trump to deposition. I have yet to see Trump make any sort of sworn or other statements that one can be sure have veracity (and I have seen instances of Trump lying under oath), and his attorneys have been unequivocal about the fact that were Trump to appear in a sworn setting, he'd perjure or "Section 1001" himself.

Accordingly, absurd is the notion that Trump's merely saying anything Mueller asserts is untrue is adequate for believing Trump and disbelieving Mueller.

No proof yet, but the evidence is mounting that he lied to the FBI and obstructed justice by interfering with the investigation. And "collusion" may not be a crime, but criminal and civil conspiracy are.

Does this mean you approve of a presidential candidate colluding with a foreign power to swing an election his way? What if that happens in 2020 and it's a socialist candidate colluding with the European Union? Would you still feel that way?

If, as the left constantly states, Trump is a moron, then I wouldn't brag about outsmarting one. Of course, that's just me. Others might want to wallow in what they perceive as success, no matter what. Those are some desperate people, right there.

As for Manafort - the feds have been aware of his financial dealings for over a decade. An easy fish to catch. I expect that Manafort has already offered more than he actually knows. That 's how federal prosecutors work. Agree, or go to jail for longer than you want to contemplate.

I would have to disagree with McCathy's take. I don't recall hearing anything from Mueller since he was named Special Council.

I hear lots from everyone on the side being investigated, or in fear of the investigation. I hear very clownish statements coming out of the Giuliani corner.

From the Mueller side though it is either nothing, or it is subpoenas, or it is charges being levied. That doesn't seem very clown like, at all. It seems like hard working investigators going about their jobs, ignoring the all of the noise, and staying focused.
