Re: How many years until Catholicism performs homosexual "marriages"?

I believe that this might cause a breaking of the Catholic Church, especially here in the US. There are a lot of Catholics that are pretty accepting of same sex marriage, at least in the US. A lot more from reports/polls than many fundamental Protestant branches of Christianity. Now this break isn't likely to happen for at least another 10 years or so.

But I think it still might happen. There is in fact evidence that there are already priests working to justify it likely because they can see the writing on the wall, this will cost them the younger generation if they don't recognize that fewer and fewer people view homosexuality as sinful, even homosexual relationships. The same is true for birth control, even if many hardcore Catholics still consider it a sin, far more don't see it as such.

And it might not be just the US that faces this schism, although it won't likely happen all at once for the church.

Well guess what: There's a right and there's a wrong. Knowing the difference is called discernment. An "anything goes" culture gets you to Sodom and Gomorrah.

True, but it is not for you to decide who or what constitutes a "Sodom and Gomorrah". Biblicaly speaking.
