How many calories do you eat in a day?

jesus christ. If I ate 5k calories a day for any length of time, I'd weigh 600 lbs. Even working out. I'd be +3000 calories a day and it takes only 3500 for a pound. I'd gain 6 lbs a week!

On a high-intensity training day, I would do something like this: ride about 80-100km; swim 3000-4000 meters; 1 hour home dumbell workout and a 10-15km run... if you DON'T consume 4000-5000 calories, you will lose weight VERY quickly...

You'd ride 80-100km? You don't mean on a bicycle do you? Where the hell are you going?

Sure, why not... Medium distance triathlons typically have a 90-100 km ride as the bike component of the race. My dream is to complete a full ironman which has a 180km bike component.

I have several routes (flat and hills) that I ride from time to time... will probably do a 60-70km mountain ride tomorrow...
 
Goldenboy, what kind of foods do you eat to get your calories up that high? I've been trying to increase my intake and find myself turning to junky kind of foods for the calories (ie: fried seafood, extra pizza, bread, homemade mac and cheese ....etc). Frankly, I feel like a bloated mess after eating that stuff.

Hard boiled eggs, whole wheat bread and pasta, cheese, fruit (with every meal), red and white meat, and meal replacement powder. To give you an example in terms of scale, I eat 4 large hard boiled eggs, 4 pieces of whole wheat toast, 2 nectarines, and one cup of kefir for breakfast.
 
i eat atleast 2500 calories and on some days i eat 1900 im not fat. i weigh only 160lbs body fat index is about 9 percent.
