Anyone know?
Not very far. Ill test my knowledge so I won't look it up before answering. Seems like I heard there are either Russian or American islands within sight of one another or the other's mainland between Alaska and, what is it, Kamchatka?Anyone know?
about 2.5 miles at the closest point across the Bearing Straight.Anyone know?
No offense - but a thread was needed for this lolAnyone know?
Whatever melts your butter, dude.Measured in light years?

Sorry not a complaint; just thought it was silly but in hindsight should have just ignored the thread.Wow, you came to complain.

About 53 miles.Anyone know?
Actually the big island belongs to Russia from what I've read. I was unaware of these small islands out there. Interesting.About 24 or 52 miles. If you count Diomede AK, the former.

2 or 3 miles, if I remember correctly. Do I win anything?Anyone know?
I once heard someone say that they're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.I can't see Russia from my front porch... But I guess there are people in Alaska who say they can... So I guess it's pretty close...
There's a big house in Washington DC that Russia essentially rented for a while. I believe that they also have an embassy there.
You thinkin' of makin' a break for it?Anyone know?
