How dumb is President Trump saying young children are almost immune to COVID 19? Really dumb

No, he didn't say that at all. The poster merely repeated what Trump stated at the onset of the disease. "Fifteen down to zero". Children were not mentioned. So who was "chumped" again? That would be you.

Quit the ridiculous melodrama; nobody is trying to impose socialism on America. You could, of course, show us (with examples). where you believe this is either occurring or even suggested.

Yes and you were unable to provide a quote where Trump said 0 children died. More lies to chump you on.
I didn't ask that I asked how many children died of CV-19 in the U.S. At this point anyone can easily see I've knocked a couple people around the forum pretty badly on this. Just say uncle and I'll leave you two to console each other. If not I can easily stick around and keep the flogging process going.

That's like asking how wet is water. But he's dumb like a fox, he may not have two brain cells to rub together but he has an inate ablility to controll a certain type of individual and a cats ablility to land on his feet.

I don't know the answer to this, because the counts will change as time passes. Suffice to say that COVID is not as severe in younger patients (17 and under).

I can support this claim with some numbers. Consider the situation in the US... there is a roughly 5% mortality among confirmed cases across the entire population. Consider also that the mortality is about 0.2% among the 17 and under group of confirmed cases. Now, consider the fact that the CDC has produced an estimate that claims for every 1 confirmed case we find, there are at least tenfold more cases in reality. That means, the best and most accurate mortality estimate, according to the CDC for the entire population, is 0.5%. This also means, the best and most accurate mortality estimate, according to the CDC for the 17 and under age group is 0.02%.

Before you go and say that this is an unacceptable risk, I want to inform you that the general mortality rate of regular life (before COVID even existed) in this age group is roughly 0.03%. COVID does not generally change the outlook for these children.

To state this does not mean I agree that school should be open or closed, since there are dangers of spread to the wider community who may be much more susceptible to COVID, but as it stands, this age group is not unduly affected, this is known.

I'm sorry to point this out to you vegas, because I consider myself quite liberal in the classic sense, and would be inclined to agree with you on most matters. I don't like Trump and hope for him to be gone as soon as possible. But taking (in my view) irrational positions just because it's the opposite of what Trump said is counter productive. It just gives those who are inclined to support him reason to doubt you even more, since what we are arguing makes no sense. If you want to influence people, you need to be able to admit the reality of a situation sometimes, even if it doesn't suit your own ideals.

Hard to be sure but probably around 50.

That's the wrong question though, since the assertion is that they're "almost immune", which would imply they don't contract it, not just that they don't die. I suspect hardly any children have died of the common cold in the US but you wouldn't say they're immune to it.

Immunity doesnt mean you cant get it. It means you are resistant to it.
So it does not imply they dont contract it. This was covered in Trumps briefings. Also, the textbook definition of immune can be referenced.

Some people don't appear to understand what a sociopath is, or that trump is one, and a narcissist, to that he would happily sacrifice any number of Americans if he thought it would benefit him, in this case he thinks the virus is a threat to his re-election so he wants to oppose any measures he things hurt his re-election, from economic shutdowns to school closures to, when he could get away with it, mask wearing.
