A WaPo article cited a report that showed a link between places where men felt their egos most threatened and their voting preferences. In short, those districts that had higher online interest in things like penis enlargement, 'picking up' women, viagra, steroids, testosterone supplements, 'alpha males' and erectile dysfunction also showed a higher preference for Republican candidates. This was more prevalent in recent elections since the age of Trump.

The article stresses this is a new study and more info is needed. Just an interesting tidbit.

Actually I wasn't involved in this study at all, nor did I write the article.

The theory in the study suggests that those men with fragile egos look for 'strong' leadership to fill that hole. It doesn't not say they are actually 'weak'. I presume in the case of 'leftists', well they don't claim to be red-meat gun toting tough guys in the first place. Liberals probably don't mind being perceived as 'weak' and are used to the charge in any case.

Everyone has some insecurities. In my twenties I worried about going bald but 20 years on it hasn't happened. The study suggests Trumpism appeals to a certain set of insecurities, not necessarily an actual 'weakness'. My interpretation is that perhaps many Trump voters don't know they're being played by tapping into their insecurities.

This already got soundly slapped around in the other thread on the same topic. You should check it out.

Right. Because your sources are so much more credible than the Washington Post.

Washington Post? Oh that old news paper that printed the story about the Russian hacking the power grid and shutting down the entire East Coast. Ya they are real "creditable."

Even without studies it easy to see the trend, men on the right are usually muscular alpha male while men on the left look line spaghetti armed Woody Alan's or Anthony Wieners.

Just Like Women on the Right are usually Hot and while Debby Wasserman-Shultz is a typical of what Leftist women look like. On top of that what few Hot looking Leftist women there are usually end up with Alpha male Right leaning men.

Not to worry, after eight years of BO assuaging men secretly insecure about their manhood, they need an uplift to their egos.

Your inaccurate analyses indicates you have true "Power Bottom" mindset, a guy who really knows what a pillow tastes like.

LOL! Just like a closet case to bring up gay sex acts where none was mentioned.

Most telling.

Thank you we are all aware that liberals own guns too. My point in deploying stereotypes was they don't have the self-image problem apparently found in the study: wherein superficially macho men who were secretly worried about going bald or having ED, seemed to be more attracted to 'strong' political candidates.

Washington Post? Oh that old news paper that printed the story about the Russian hacking the power grid and shutting down the entire East Coast. Ya they are real "creditable."

The Washington Post has been around since 1877. When they make mistakes, they correct them (like the Russian hacker story).

The Daily Wire has been around since 2015.

The American Thinker has been around since 2003.

Men of the West has been around since 2016.

Do you have any credible sources that back up your assertions that weren't created this century?

WaPo is old because WaPo is credible. WaPo is solid. WaPo admits when they **** up. WaPo is a solid source of news, whether you want to believe it, or you choose to believe the blog you quoted. That's on you. But you will be called on your ridiculous sources - every single time.

Useless drivel. The last two paragraphs of your post mean absolutely nothing, except, "RIGHT MEN STRONG! *grunt* LEFT MEN WEAK! RIGHT WOMEN PURDY! *snort* LEFT WOMEN UGLY!" That's basically the gist of your comment. Again - useless drivel.

Either one of us could post countless pictures of ugly women and - what did you say, "spaghetti armed" men, no matter what side of the aisle they are on. For you to single out personal appearance based on what your political ideology is makes no sense.

Also, FWIW - that is a ridiculous article for WaPo to post. They have better things to focus on right now.

You guys' spectacular failure to even come close to mounting a reasonable opposition to the study was the funniest thing I've seen around here in weeks.

Seriously, you have no idea how hard I was laughing at some of you guys' so-bad-they-were-good replies!

Wow. Your emotional and rather effeminate reply indicates that the OP is correct.

Your inaccurate analyses indicates you have true "Power Bottom" mindset, a guy who really knows what a pillow tastes like.
