How can this possibly be constitutional?

American culture and traditions were absolutely based on Christian values. Leftists Christianity haters have a point if they talk about the American government, but are absolutley and pathetically wrong in thinking the American polity never was, or is not now, based on Christianity.

No, they were based on British Common law and British culture. The American polity was never based on Christianity. It was based on the Enlightenment.

You're sadly wrong, and apparently happy to be uneducated. You can make the case that the American government is based on enlightenment ideas, but you can't make the same case for the American polity.

BTW, where do you imagine the foundation of British culture comes from if not Christianity?

English Common law, part of the basis of the US Constitution (which makes no reference or link to christianity) predates widspread christianity in Europe by about 200 years.

No, what I stated is a fact of history. Don’t think you can tell me what it means to be uneducated as you fall for Christian propaganda. Christianity is not the main source of Western culture at all. And you apparently don’t know what polity means.

The Influence of Christianity on World Civilization, Education, Science, and Inventions — From the Inception of the Faith to the Modern Age

Christian theology profoundly influenced Western political thought, shaping the foundational principles of governance and the moral framework within which societies operate. Throughout history, theologians and philosophers integrated religious beliefs with political theory, proposing that divine authority underpins the legitimacy of rulers and the laws they enact.

This interplay between faith and politics led to the development of concepts such as the divine right of kings and the idea of a just war, profoundly affecting the evolution of statecraft. Furthermore, the emphasis on human dignity derived from theological perspectives contributed to the emergence of human rights discourse, ensuring that individual freedoms and social justice became integral part of political ideologies. In contemporary times, the remnants of this theological influence continue to resonate within various political systems and debates, illustrating the enduring legacy of Christian thought in shaping the principles that govern modern societies.
