I imagine most atheists could vote for anyone who is not in the pocket of the evangelicals. None of us want to live in a theocracy. Can't say that for republicans who continue to elect people like Ted Cruz, who would like the US to be a theocracy. Or Donald Trump, who has no true belief in anything but power, money and control. This works for the ultra religious. Clearly they are willing to sacrifice almost all of what they say are the basic tenets of their religion, in order to get Supreme Court judges and federal judges who will do their bidding. What happened to "What Would Jesus Do"?
The US is clearly not ready for an openly agnostic or atheist president. Even Bernie Sanders had to lip service the question of whether he believes in god.
