World wide heat waves and record temperatures what are you doing to keep cool these days?

Me? staying at starbucks for one, another is the application of switching the chimeny into a cooling tower, not too effective on a rainy day though. Source of inspiration? Visitors Center at Zion National Park.

Starbucks? Who the Hell goes to Starbucks? Besides Yuppies, Liberals and College kids? Yeah, that's my idea of "chilling out" on a hot day... drinking HOT coffee (do they serve plain black coffee at Starbucks? or just that gourmet [expletive]?)

I sit at home with the AC cranked way down on 60 degrees.

[did u know Starbucks is being sued? For the same reason Mickey D's wasgetting sued. Starbuck's food and drinks are too fattening. LOL]

Iced coffee? Or does Starbucks actually serve "normal" beverages?

Nah, i'd be kicked out. $6.00 for a coffee ain't my idea of well spent money. I'd complain too much and they'd ask me to leave. Besides, I hate coffee, tastes like excrement. And don't ask how I know what excrement tastes like. No need to bring up bad childhood memories...

I'll stay home thank you. My AC works just fine, though it's 15 years old. But it still purrs like a kitten, a fat kitten the size of a pinto, but still a kitten nonetheless.

Either a High Velocity Blower fan and or a airconditioner set either on power saver or low.Of course it is normal for 100 degree weather in my state during the summer.WHich is why I laugh my *** when cities like Chicago talk about 90+ degrees as a heat wave.

How about 99 degrees in michigan! Worst of all its moist heat and not dry heat which makes all the more unbearable. I'm dying here! Luckily I'm on vacation down south so it's not so bad in the dry heat.
