House GOP Report: Despite eyewitness accounts, Clinton, administration pushed video

Re: House GOP Report: Despite eyewitness accounts, Clinton, administration pushed vid

Did you watch the news conference today? What a crock. It was clear that this is just another Republican political stunt. They all had the same talking points. Did you count how many times they said "new evidence"? LOL.....shameless how Republicans continuously politicize the death of 4 Americans to try to make political points. That is just reprehensible.

Oh puh-lease. You guys have tried this story over and over and over and over and over and over and over......there is a reason why the American people aren't buying it....yet you keep trying it again and again....I guess its all you have in your arsenal. Sad. Maybe you should have tried finding a decent candidate out there. That would have been a better ploy.

I think you are being a bit generous, or perhaps hopeful, with your generalization about the American people not buying it.

Certainly there are millions of ideologically similar people who refuse to buy it, but it's a total fallacy to claim all American people aren't buying it. I would suggest an equal, if not larger group of people are buying it, versus those who don't.

Whether that matters in the grand scheme is the important question.

Re: House GOP Report: Despite eyewitness accounts, Clinton, administration pushed vid

No evidence of wrong doing? What have you been smoking Crack or like Hillary just lying?
Nope. Not crack.
1. Clinton and Obama lied about why the attack happened.
Way to completely miss the point. The point is that not only did she know - they all knew. You and others that believe the half baked stories they've fed you are the only ones who don't know, and willingly so. It's a classic case of putting politics above the truth. Those are the principles on display by the left here. We were hoping that in the end you guys would prove better than that. It's disappointing, to say the least.

It was the CIA's assessment of the time that the film Innocence of Muslims had to do something with the attack, this is well documented. Turned out to be wrong, but it was the intelligence at the time.

Susan Rice, then-U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said on Sunday talk shows that week that the "current best assessment" was the attack was an extension of the protests against "The Innocence of Muslims" happening elsewhere, including the U.S. Embassy in Cairo. "That's the best information we have at present," Rice told ABC News' Jake Tapper. She was telling the truth — a CIA assessment in those early days had indeed found that was the case, but that information turned out to be wrong." 2. Clinton and Obama lied about asssetd being available to lend assistance.
Nope.
"Soon after the initial reports about the attack in Benghazi were received, General Dempsey and I met with President Obama and he ordered all available DOD assets to respond to the attack in Libya and to protect U.S. personnel and interests in the region. It's important to remember that in addition to responding to the situation in Benghazi, we were also concerned about potential threats to U.S. personnel in Tunis, Tripoli, Cairo, Sana'a, and elsewhere that could potentially require a military response." Defense.gov Secretary of Defense Testimony: Statement on the Attacks on the US Facilities in Benghazi, Libya before the Senate Armed Services Committee

3. Clinton and Obama never made a single attempt to deploy a relief force.
False. See above.

4. Clinton and Obama denied security upgrades to the personel in Libya.
State Department management did, but personally Obama and Clinton? Nope.

There was plenty of wrongdoing.
Well all the conspiracy theories you just listed have been and will continue to be easily proven to be bull****

The American people have not bought it the first 14, 564 times.....what is it about Republicans that think that if they try the same thing again....maybe things will be different the 14565th time. Sorry...but despite their talking points of "new evidence", which they repeated about 178 times during the news conference...it is clear that this is yet another example of Republicans shamelessly trying to capitalize on the deaths of 4 Americans.

Re: House GOP Report: Despite eyewitness accounts, Clinton, administration pushed vid

WE all know righties are going to push the Republican report and lefties are going to push the Dem one. Nothing new there.

But let me ask you a question.Do you believe Hillary Clinton?

"Did you tell them it was about the film?” host George Stephanopoulos asked.
“No,” Clinton responded bluntly"

Kate Quigley, the sister of Glen Doherty, insists that Clinton did tell her the video was to blame,
Three other family members of two of the other victims have also gone on the record saying Clinton blamed the attack on the YouTube video “The Innocence of Muslims” at the casket ceremony, and promised to throw the filmmaker in prison.

What I dont believe is conspiracy theories produced and all to be found either complete bull**** or completely unfounded.

Re: House GOP Report: Despite eyewitness accounts, Clinton, administration pushed vid

I think you are using the wrong words here. If you consider purposefully misleading the public for personal gain (a.k.a., lying) as "wrongdoing," then there is plenty of evidence of wrongdoing. I believe you meant to say there is no evidence of criminal conspiracy or a crime being committed by Hillary. I make this assumption because you have a socialist lean. If you can't trust government, how can you trust the government to run everything? I imagine that truthful leadership would be a value we can all agree on.

It was literally CIA evidence at the time. See post #29

The fact that you are among the group of ideologically similar people who don't buy it, doesn't change the reality of issue.

I don't believe wishful thinking, or demagoguery, is going to change that. Certainly hyperbole has little chance, but some are desperate enough to continue with it.

Again, whether the findings matter in the grand scheme is the important question, not the exclamations of the ideologically biased.

Have a link for that? Just kidding, I already knew, Brian Fallon.

Fallon says that's evidence the House Benghazi Committee's chief goal was to politicize the deaths of four people killed in the attack "in order to try to attack the Obama administration and hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign."

Re: House GOP Report: Despite eyewitness accounts, Clinton, administration pushed vid

LOL....I don't know what polls you are watching. Almost every poll showed huge gains...in which she opened double digit leads. Oh.....I bet you are probably just watching those right-wing sites...the same ones that said that Romney was going to win in a landslide. You need to pay attention more.

She only has double digit leads in polls where they double digit over sampled Democrats such as ABC/Washington Post. But even in those polls Hillary has gained nothing she is still at the same 46% she have been for the last year.

In every swing state Trump is beating her or within the margin of error.

The Fact is Hillary is fundamentally unlikable while Trump is a charismatic guy. He has cross over appeal she has none.

Half of Trumps disapproval comes from the GOP establishment This Republican Civil War wont last long. They despise Hillary a lot more than Trump and they will vote.

On the other hand according to Bloomberg poll 51% of Bernie supporters will never vote for Hillary and 22% will vote for Trump.

Are you insane? You are obviously looking at some extreme right-wing polls, because if you look at credible sites like 538.....they tell a different story. But if it make ya feel better....keep belivin!

You left out the part where Hillary 24 hours after the attack Hillary emails her own daughter and a few foreign heads of state and admits it was a terrorist attack not a protest over a video.

You mean the talking point of the circled Hillary wagons? That's true. But you could at least have paraphrased a little to make it sound like an original thought.

Are you saying that an attack by protestors over a video would not be a terrorist attack?

 There is a difference about what one says privately ("This is what I personally think happened or believe to be true") vs public talking points based on a CIA analyst ("this is what the intelligence analysts have approved/provided to this point").

Perhaps they picked up where the Secretary of State, and the Obama Administration, left off.....

Actually I did see some of it. Having the same talking points isn't Republican; it's a huge Democrat tactic right down to the Obama phone lady. You guys make sure lockstep extends to the smallest peon in your group, because independent thought outside of 100% worship of the top is not allowed. So your point is dismissed. The new evidence was information not before released. Guess the Dems didn't get to leak everything. Sorry you're disappointed.

The American people do buy it. But it's difficult to hold an official accountable after they are gone. Liberals don't buy it, that is all.

Insane? well maybe but never delusional enough to call Bloomberg or RCP right wing pollsters. Please specify where 538 contradicts anything I said.

Talking points are used by both Republicans and Democrats...as well as other political persuasions...so don't kid yourself. But when you hear the same talking points from each speaker, it becomes embarrassingly clear that it is a political ploy. I think Republicans did themselves more harm than good....because the news conference came across as a staged political stunt. They would have done better not trying to repeat the talking points and trying to sell their report to the American people. This just looks like desperation coming from a party that had a poor slate of candidates and ended up with the worst one of the lot.

NEWS FROM A REAL NEWS SOURCE.........

House Benghazi Report Finds No New Evidence of Wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton

Ending one of the longest, costliest and most bitterly partisan congressional investigations in history, the House Select Committee on Benghazi issued its final report on Tuesday, finding no new evidence of culpability or wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton in the 2012 attacks in Libya that left four Americans dead.

The 800-page report, however, included some new details about the night of the attacks, and the context in which it occurred, and it delivered a broad rebuke of government agencies like the Defense Department, the Central Intelligence Agency and the State Department — and the officials who led them — for failing to grasp the acute security risks in the Libyan city, and especially for maintaining outposts in Benghazi that they could not protect.

The committee, led by Representative Trey Gowdy, Republican of South Carolina, also harshly criticized an internal State Department investigation that it said had allowed officials like Mrs. Clinton, then the secretary of state, to effectively choose who would investigate their actions. In addition, it reiterated Republicans’ complaints that the Obama administration had sought to thwart the investigation by withholding witnesses and evidence………….

This what we paid $11 million dollars for?

Okay, so based on your premise, Democrats do everything as a party ploy. Thanks for the education.

LOL.....sorry.....but the facts say otherwise. The American people see this for exactly what it is......an reprehensible attempt at a desperate party to politicize the deaths of 4 Americans to try to make political gain. Its sad that the Grand Old Party has had to resort to this.
