Democrats are arming themselves with a multitude of lawyers and assistants in preparation for the largest investigation of a sitting president in recent history.

House Democrats scooping up staff, lawyers to power Trump investigations

(CNN)The House Judiciary Committee is looking for a few good lawyers.

A recent committee job posting reviewed by CNN asked for legislative counsels with a variety of expertise: "criminal law, immigration law, constitutional law, intellectual property law, commercial and administrative law (including antitrust and bankruptcy), or oversight work."
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee needs lawyers, too, posting jobs for "executive branch investigative counsel."

The advertisements give a window into the Democratic recruiting that's ramped up ahead of the party gaining subpoena power for the first time in eight years when it takes over the House in January.

What do people expect? It doesn't appear Trump is smart enough to step down now, and with what Cohen is testifying.

Makes you wonder when the House Democrats will find the time to address issues like, passing a budget rather than CR's, immigration reform, health care and tax reform. You know things that just might be important to the American people:mrgreen:

That will satisfy the kook fringe base that elected them to do just that, but it remains to be seen if the rational members of society will reward them in 2020.

Trump has hindered all of the above. Budget - shut down the government; immigration - insist on a wall, rather than newer more efficient technologies, etc; health care - tried to get rid of the ACA, instead of improving it; Tax reform - cut taxes for that 1%. I could go on and on about the rest of the crap that is Trump policy...all the lies about everything, Zenkie, De Voss, and other (terrific not) past and present staff, lol.

"Help Wanted: Need legal stuffed shirts to help waste taxpayer money in payback political 'investigations'. Must have donated at least $500,000 to the Democratic Party or any Democrat politician. Also, must sign loyalty oath and view Nancy Pelosi as a 'Brilliant Leader'. Must also be a minority."

hahahaha! Do you know how much money Trump's co-conspirators have paid out in legal fees to date? Neither do I but I bet it's enough to enrich a small county by now.

Pelosi Names Douglas N. Letter New General Counsel of the House

Until February 2018, Letter served as the Director of the Civil Division Appellate Staff at the U.S. Department of Justice, retiring this year after 40 years of distinguished service at the agency. He is now a Senior Litigator at the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he is also a Visiting Professor of Law. He is a recipient of many prestigious honors, including the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award.

"Help Wanted: Tens of millions of dollars to pretend to investigate Benghazi when we're really investigating sloppiness with emails that we will immediately fail to care about the moment an R does something comparable, like Ivanka and The Donald, and if this is pointed out we will attack "the left" for not being worried about said Benghazi ---> Email fiasco".

More like that, I think. But hey. Do keep attacking "the left". We could have fun with this.

To bad HRC failed to comply with relevant docs at the on set, she would have saved the feds a lot of money and time.

*an R does something comparable, like Ivanka and The Donald,*

What's comparable ?? Did IK conduct all her business via email on a private account ?? Did IK knowing sent classified information via her private account ?? Did IK even sent or receive classified information via her private account ?? Did IK ignore FIOA requests ?? Did IK fail to adhere to the Federal Records Act and the Presidential Records Act ?? Did IK fail to comply with relevant docs (emails) ??

That many question marks suggests the need for a thorough investigation! Don't worry, we'll get to the bottom of this.
