It's not widely known. I know it because in the town where a friend of mine lives a few miles from where I live, there is a line of small colorful crosses along the ways from the centre of the town to a place away from the centre. These crosses are small like 4 inches high and 2 inches wide. They have been painted by people from many different countries. There a lot of crosses, one beside the other and every cross stands for one person, who became a victim in this town. The line connects the centre of the town with the room which was the gas chamber.

This line is made of 14,751 small crosses.

Herr Volker is correct. Prior to the Holocaust, the Nazis began a program in Germany known as T4. It was administered in six private government facilities for the retarded and insane. I believe around 100,000 German citizens (mentally and physically handicapped) were gassed at these T4 facilities. T4 was terminated due to German public outcry when its true mission was exposed.

A significant portion of the Nazi SS officers who later administered the Holocaust death camps in Poland were former members of T4.

Your position against Israel in the "I am Israel" thread. I understand many Germans hold similar views on this subject. I know mostof them do not subscribe to Nazism. I should not have assumed that you also agree with arabs that call for the destruction of Israel. My bad.

This is ok. The views in Germany about the Middle East differ a lot, it is not that I am kinda representative for a majority view about it, the same is true for other topics, too.
