This administration is out of control and shredding the constitution as we speak and it sounds like these cities are going to have some real high quality cops and firemen.

"Racial discrimination is against the law. But that hasn’t stopped Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.’s Justice Department from bullying cities like Dayton, Ohio, and New York to implement racially discriminatory hiring practices for police officers and firefighters.Dayton has written and oral entrance exams for police officer candidates. The tests are fully in accord with the Ricci decision. But the Justice Department is forcing Dayton to lower the passing grade because not enough black applicants are passing.
Dayton’s original eligibility criteria required candidates to score a D and a C on separate tests. The Justice Department is requiring Dayton to accept candidates who get an F on the second exam. Even candidates who fail to meet the most basic requirements can still get hired. That’s no way to build a “best and brightest” police force.

The Federal Government is out of control and needs to be reigned in.

The DOJ ignores court decisions is not surprising, he is still trying to punish Texas... Holder takes on Texas over voting laws after court ruling | Fox News

I thought the Bush years were a fiasco but this administration is making them look like the wonder years.
Apparently just you and me think this is a big deal. Maybe the masses are so used to this lately that it is just a big yawn, if so we are doomed. I guess it's the frog in ever warmer water thing.

As long as the standards are applied across the board then it technically is not discrimination. In other words if they open up opportunities for whites who got an F also it doesn't directly discriminate. That being said i don't think it is a great idea, but they are connidiots. It is hard to go the proper direction of attempting to bring black people up to the proper educational standards to overcome the problems racism has caused by keeping their education lower than whites without offering up help that is discriminatory in nature. So really you discriminate against blacks and provide them lesser education, and then when they do not pass you discriminate against them for jobs, and if you try to give them help to bring them up to par that is discrimination and you cannot do it, so the only other step is to simply lower stands across the board and bingo you have Bushs' No child left behind for cops.

This is all because we cannot have an honest discussion about the effects of racism in society because the racists do not think it is nice top point out their racist practices that are still embedded in society and the psychological effects of those practices on the participation of blacks in the community. They make it as hard as possible for blacks to be a part of the community, and then they cry reverse racism when you point it out. if you don't like dumb black police officers then equal out educational standards and bring them up to white levels. Otherwise you suffer from the effects of your racial attitudes. this is an effect you made for all of us, thank the racists kids.

This is just typical of the Obama Administration's lawless mindset.

It doesnt seem to bother most people that their government is the way it is. I just dont understand it.

Well actually I do...Last Thursday at our monthly get together one of the guys said something that rang true. He is in his late 60's and came here from Poland in the early 80's. He lived in Poland during the Communist days and made a really startling statement that threw us back on our heals.

He said that we here in America today have less freedoms than they did in Communist Poland in the 1980's, the only difference is we have more stuff to keep us occupied and keep our minds off of the situation than they did. All they could do was sit around and think on how things were whereas we have stuff to distract us from the events.

If we dont want to watch the news we dont have to, we have 200 other channels to choose from to occupy our minds. We have toys and gadgets to distract us from life. And too many people are on the handout train that dont need to be but are, so things will only get worse before they get any better.

Government controlled this and government regulated that, thats not how America was designed nor how it worked for so many decades...centuries even, America used to be the land of opportunity. America has become what the Soviet Union wanted to be.

He went into a lot more detail & told us about life over there & compared a lot of the happenings from then to what is happening now.

Its really scary when an immigrant to this country points out the comparison to the old Soviet Union & communism and people here dont see it. Maybe you had to live through it once to see that it is happening again.

I think this mess is a commentary on our public schools in general and the inner city schools in particular. Holder did defy the supreme court ruling though and that is becoming the norm for this power hungry administration.

So LOWER the Standards and apply them equally ? What a pathetic joke.

Thats just great. Don't we have enough Public Workers with the IQ of a stapler ?

I know I'll feel far safer if these Cities appeal to the weakest candidates because of some false narrative ginned up by criminals and corrupt ideologues.

The only discussion about race we should be having is from the Black Community about the black community.

Quit blaming it on the make believe racist that are trying to " keep a man" down and address the issues with in your community that allows for grown men or women to graduate High School ano still be functionally illiterate.
