Just when you thought the miltant scumbags couldn't get any dumber!

3 Israeli soldiers die, 2 captured in raid

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060712/ap_on_re_mi_ea/lebanon_israel_clash

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Hezbollah militants captured two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border raid Wednesday, and dozens of Israeli troops crossed the frontier with warplanes, tanks and gunboats to hunt for the captives. Three Israeli soldiers also were killed in the raid. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called the soldiers' capture "an act of war" and his Cabinet prepared to approve more military action in Lebanon — a second front in the fight against Islamic militants by Israel, which already is waging an operation to free a captured soldier in the Gaza Strip.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sense that these militant scumbags will keep screwing with Israel until Israel nukes them out of existence.

i can't say i'd miss that region of the world, if the nukes did start flying.

it would be horrible, of course, but i am more than sick of hearning these children argue and throw stuff at eachother. they both need a nice long nap.

and I'm sure scumbags everywhere will call it an Israeli act of aggression.

Such is the state of the world where terrorists have convinced half the population that up is really down and left is really right.

I don't think anyone can argue that this means war, if any country had a soldier taken, I am certain that they would do the same thing Israel has, if not worse. These people love the fight, that's why they are always parading around with their AK 47's, just itching for it, now they have it.

Please tell me you're kidding.

If you're religous then you'll surely miss the lands of your religion. If you're secular than you'll surely miss the tracks our ancestors made on their voyage to Europe. If you respect history, than you'll surely miss the most historical-rich region of this world.

Nothing will stop conflicts

These people love to fight?
Kidnapping are an act of war?

Those are some pretty bold opinions. The Islamic militants in charge of the kidnappings won't nothing but their brothers released from prisons, this happens quite a bit in that region. It's almost like Mexico City where a hold up or kidnapping is a form of monetary transaction.

I wouldn't say they love to fight, I would say they have experienced nothing but fighting for as long as they lived, so it's more of a life-stye.

Bold perhaps, but correct. Attacking the military forces of another country has always been an act of war. These two groups have been taken shots at one another for a very long time.

I agree that they both need a nap; however, I do believe that Israel is acting within its rights here. It's time to take a hardline stance against terrorists world wide.

It's important to remember that the Israelies operate under the law of Moses (and eye for an eye) so it shouldn't surprise us at all when Israel responds to terrorist attacks on her armed forces with extreme military action.

:2razz:

They launched an attack, killed 7 Israeli soldiers wounded more than 14 and captured 2. What the hell would you call it if it happened in your country?

They launched an attack as members of the government of a Sovriegn nation is this anything but an act of war?

We will and have bung to respond with full force parts of South Lebanon have fallen to the IDF.

Those chit-brains (Hezbollah) are a group that truly needs to be wiped off the face of this earth! I hope to hell Israel plows them into the ground.

It's not *quite* as a provocative move as Hamas' kidnapping. Hezbollah does not have the strong connections to the Lebanese government that Hamas' militant wing (obviously) does to the Palestinian government. While the Lebanese government tolerates Hezbollah's existence, something they shouldn't be doing, it's not the same thing as the government sanctioning a kidnapping.

Actualy the lebonese goverment has ministers who are members of the Hezbollah. The Hezbollah movment is a political party in lebanon just as the hamas is a politcal party in the palestinian teritories (although the prime minister isn't from the hezbollah).

What do you expect when a fraction of the UN is made up of opressors and dictators who do not represent their populations. Countries like China, Russia, Nigeria, Cuba, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etcetera...etcetera will always be there to defend their natures by exonerating the tyranny of others.

Yes, but Hezbollah doesn't hold the majority of seats like Hamas does. I'm not claiming that Lebanese government holds no responsibility for the kidnapping, only that Hezbollah cannot claim to represent the government to the degree that Hamas does.

So are you saying that they don't deserve this aggression?

Or should they just use a smaller mortar round?

The lebonese just apealed to the security council to force a cease fire.

If the Lebonese want a cease-fire, they must find and release the Israelie soldiers taken by terrorists operating inside their territorial bounderies.

Good point.

;)

Let's look at this in the context of recent events, Israel commits to and carries out a withdrawl from Gaza, highly unpopular domestically, then the right wing Likud party is pushed out of government by Ariel Sharon and his new conciliatory approach to the relations with the Palestinians, Ehud Olmert takes over from Sharon and vows to continue the course his predecessor had plotted. On the other side of the wall the Palestinians elect a militant terrorist organisation as their political representatives, hardly ideal when you consider that these individuals have dedicated themselves to the extermination of those with whom they are supposed to be conducting a peace process. Rocket attacks continue to be launched, not by terrorists any longer but by the government's own forces, attacks are made on the Gaza border, soldiers killed and kidnapped, and now the terrorists allies in Lebanon have joined in. It is clear that there is no inclination to pursue peace by Hamas, Hizbollah, Islamic Jihad, or the Palestinian Authority, and the governments of the Arab states continue to provide succor to these causes. Forget the peace process it's as one sided as I've laid out above, and is thus rendered void.

It sure looks that way to me. I am quite sure that Israel is done screwing around with the terrorists and their unprovoked attacks.

I sense Lebanon is about to be very sorry they started a conflict with Israel. As for Palestine, they had a chance to live peacefully and the declined, so they get no sympathy from me.

unprovoked attacks?

Only a dimwit would assign blame to only one side of this ridiculous conflict.

I don't assign blame to only one side, but if you look at the history of the conflict, it's usually the islamic militants initiating the violence.

It's cyclical.
A braindead palestinain blows up a bus, Israel invades gaza and kills a few terrorists, and perhaps a few civilians. a braindead.......

They all act like children, which is why they get no sympathy from me.

I use this conflict to represent the worst of organized religion. If they all tolerated the others' views, they would all be living togehter under one sun.

It started as relgious hatred, and has morphed into cultural hatred. throw in the claim to chucks on shitty unarable land, some hi-tech american weapons, some surplus explosives and AKs, and you have a neverending conflict.
