Tesla pulled the plug on the "mirror" factory in Berlin when told they would have to go through the same German environmental game again thus making sure 6000 German jobs were lost while 6000 were gained in China. Berlin giga is in full bore production right now and a new factory in Shanghai is going up this very minute. The German jobs are gone forever.

Ford is putting an end to dealerships. Not out right but over time. They have divided Ford Motor Company into two separate divisions. One is to be called Ford Blue and will continue making ICE cars (and profits) as always and the other division will be known as Ford Model E where they will make EVs. To understand the reason just ask yourself what marketing advantage does Tesla have over Ford and you will see that buying a Tesla on the internet and never having to breath the same air as car salamander at their dealerships office is a game changer. The only way ford can do this is to sell EVs online slowly smothering all dealerships over the next decade.... googbye

Also bad for dealerships is Ford will be going computer updates so that recalls can be done primarily online without ever having to take your car in like Tesla

I love the Tesla purchasing experience. It took less than five minutes, all-in, which was amazing. That included delivery, financing… the works. The vehicle was dropped off at our front door, ready to drive.

Darn, so future generations won't be able to savor the experience of dealing with sleazy car salespeople? Maybe they won't even get the opportunity to be significantly overcharged by the dealer service depts either..... Seems like the good old days are on their way out....

if I could only feel that ford was being somehow magnanimous about this.
