I don't really see this as irrationality, in fact, if you read the article, her reactions are very rational and understandable. I don't see what she said as "He's a christians", I see it as "Impossible! No way! This couldn't have happened! WTF?" What's wrong is not her rationale, it's her conclusion. We would all act the same way if we were in her position probably.
