Hillary Fights making ILLEGAL Immigrants ILLEGAL!

XShipRider said:
Fences are not meant to stop. They only deter, slow-down or dissuade
much like locks on doors. Not every illegal immigrant will want to scale
a razor wire fence. The fence idea, though I too think it's ludicrous, is
window dressing gone mad.

This is a typical knee-jerk approach to border security. I would think
with technology we could more effectively monitor and respond to
illegal entry. Would we catch them all? Probably not but any future
system will have flaws, lapses or holes. As you pointed out, the
border is multiple thousands miles with near infinite porosity now.

As for the airspace, they don't shoot down drug smugglers who are flying
just above wave height, without lights, without transponders and without
flight plans. Do you think we would have the wherewithal to stop
illegal immigrant flights? Post 9/11 or no post 9/11, not a chance.
I'm in complete agreement with you.

I have no definitive answer to the problem but know the fence is not
going to do it.

Q. How do most undocumented workers come to America?
Hint - it's not by walking across the border.

A. The vast majority of undocumented workers come to this country legally by airplane, and stay after here after their visas run out.

Q.How are most illegals able to stay here after their temporary visas run out?

A.Rat traitors who employ them, rat traitors who aid them, rat traitors who house and do business with them, rat traitors who give the driver's licenses and IDs,rat traitors who defend them.

Don't you mean "illegal aliens" instead of "immigrints"?

This is another thing that irks me about the media, the fact they call illegal aliens either "undocument workers" or "immigrints" as though somehow these people came here legally or they are as innocent as the neighbor's kid mowing your lawn for 20 bucks.

Illegal immigrents = common Criminals

They come across the border, breaking our Immigration laws. They trespass, steal, do damage to property, smuggle drugs across the border. The corrupt Mexican military escort drug dealers across our borders and even fire on our Border Patrol occassionally. The FBI has recently busted a terrorist smuggling ring in which Hez Bola had been smuggling in their own terrorists into the U.S. as well as Mexicans for profit. Terrorists have been smuggled into this country - WE KNOW THAT TO BE FACT!

The Mexicans are getting welfare, social security, taking job sillegally, and taxing our health care system to the point where some experts say it is in jeopardy of collapse. Meanwhile, millions of U.S. dollars is being funneled down to Mexico, NOT into the U.S. economy.

Many politicians are arguing that there are 12 Million illegals here and what to do about them. While they argue, Hundreds more enter the country illegally every day! We need to close the Border NOW and argue what to do with the illegals afterwards!

In the press conference with President Fox (Mexico), he said that it was basically a U.S. only problem. Well, it is about time we made it Mexico's problem!
- The next time the Mexican military escorts drug dealers across our borders, we should take 'em out! maybe when Fox learns he 'just' lost some of his military on our soil, that will get his attention.
- All U.S. aid/money to Mexico should stop, and we should tell Fox that instead of giving foreign aid immediately to Mexico, we are having to use that money to pay for taking care of his people in the U.S. (to repay damages to citizens done by trespassing Mexicans, for their health care, etc....)
- CLOSE THE BORDERS NOW!

Illegal immigrants USE $10 BILLION in services more than they pay into our economy.

A recent study shows that legalizing the immigrants (like the amnesty program being talked about) would cost even MORE because that would make all these illegals eligible for every social program that their illegal status prevents them from getting!

They would be elibible to pay taxes, but they would still pay very little while the U.S. would end up paying far more than $10 BILLION out in social programs! that would mean we would go from having a drain on the economy to a near economic-destroying catastrophe! And guess who gets higher taxes to pay for all the social programs going to these 'illegals'? YOU! Guess who gets higher insurance, higher medical, higher everything to pay for them? YOU!

It's a bit of semantics, but I don't like to use the term illegal aliens - it sounds like terrorists from outer space. I don't think this one issue defines a person, having worked closely with someone who, through no fault of his own, had his student visa expire. At that point, he was, in your terms, an "illegal alien" In my terms, he was, and is my friend, peer and colleague.

Anyway...

Senator Lindsey Graham's (SC-Rep) was on Fox talking about the risk of GOP suicide in backing Frist's Bill that criminalizes church groups that support undocumented workers. Don't listen to him. Please. Please Please.!!!!
MR. WALLACE: Now, Senate Majority Leader Frist says that even if all 45 Democrats vote for your bill, the bill that you're bill, that you're not going to be able to get the 15 Republicans to break a filibuster of the comprehensive package. A couple of questions here: Do you think the Senate will pass an immigration bill, and if so, what kind?

SEN. GRAHAM: I think it will be a comprehensive bill similar to what the president's been advocating. I think it will be political suicide for our party to filibuster a comprehensive solution to a real problem facing America. It would be political suicide to ignore there's 11 million people here illegally, undocumented, who are trying to work and add value to our country. If we adopt the approach of going to a Hispanic soldier in Iraq and a Hispanic Marine in Iraq and telling them the Republican Party's position is that we're going to make your grandparents felons and deport them, we will lose power as a party.

If we're going to charitable organizations, religious institutions who are providing assistance to abused women and children and say if you help somebody who's undocumented we're going to make you a felon, we will lose our majority. That's not the way to go. The president has said that's not the way to go. We need a comprehensive solution that allows people to earn their citizenship by going through gates over an 11-year period of time, showing they're good citizens and they've worked their way out of this problem.

than your perception is easily swayed by events, and that is the downfall of people like yo

somebodies VISA does NOT expire through NO fault of their own
it is a process that everybody else seems to manage to get thru

that is by far the LAMEST post this week
it is full of nothing but excuses and BS
to claim anything but is to buy into absolute nonsense proposed by Kool-aid drinkers

What about using the word illegal immigrint instead, if you feel so unconfortable about using illegal alien?

I don't think this one issue defines a person, having worked closely with someone who, through no fault of his own, had his student visa expire
So you are telling me that student visa do not come with experation dates?

So you're saying that more illegal immigrants enter the country via
plane than sneak across the Southern or Northern border? I have
to ask where you could find data to support that assertion?

The relative ease [sic] to walk across the border compared to the
post 9/11 airline security for entry seems to put you at odds with
the numbers of illegals desiring to stay. It would take thousands of
flights with a few on essentially each flight to reach these numbers.

I'm just curious.

Several of the 9/11 hijackers, from what I was told, fall into that category. Immigration didn't feel it was worth their time and effort to fpllow up....but that is a LOT of people to follow up on! These guys have to have jobs, though, or at least most of them. make the jobs responsible for keeping track of their employees' status. Once the visa expires, they lose their jobs immediately or the Govt. fines/closes the company's doors! Problem 'solved'! No visa, no job, no getting re-hired, no money - go home!

I wonder that myself, how can people that are dirtpoor can afford plane tickets and visa?

I don't know anything about the airline data, but

After they sneak across the border, then what? If they're dirt poor how do they get to some place like Chicago? Are they hitchhiking along the interstate? I travel a lot of roads in Texas and hitchhikers are far and few in between.

P.S. There are border patrol checkpoints along the roads well away from the border, inside the state.

It looks like the Republicans are wussing out on this one now:
GOP wants felony clause out of immigration bill
Congress' Republican leaders called Tuesday for removing from the House-passed immigration bill a provision that would make it a felony for a foreign national to be in the United States without a valid visa and blamed Democrats for its inclusion.

The Republican leadership still supports making the offense a misdemeanor.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

You don't need to pass legislation reclassigfying them from 'illegals' to an upgrade of 'Felons', especially if you plan on enforcing THIS new legislation as much as you have enforced the EXISTING legislation.

In fact, you don't need to pass any new legislation at all!

We already have immigration laws that outline the legal way to get into this country.

We already have laws that specify the actions that should be taken against those who break the law. That means the goverment chould be rolling into all these companies who are hiring illegals and either fining them heavily, closing their doors, or seizing their property/assets to get the point across. If you enforced the laws, there would be no work for illegal aliens, thus millions would not be traveling here because there would be no work for them when they got here! The FACT is that our politicians, from BOTH parties, have failed to address this issue for YEARS, in order to woo the Latino vote --
Case in point, CNN pointed out that DNC workers were working their butts off to register new voters during the Illegal Immigration rallies the other day. Many of the people they were 'registering' were illegals. When asked about it, the response from one worker was, "Yeah, but when Congress grants them citizenship, they will all be registered voters."

Politicians have been betraying us and selling off this country for years in exchange for votes! Faced with this huge problem, what does congress do? They duck the issue by going on vacation for 2 weeks - 1 Senator even said they hope to delay this until next year - AFTER THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS so they don't offend anyone and lose votes!

Lindsey Graham and DeMint wrote me back to say the issue was 'complicated'. BS! Close the borders to prevent millions more illegals from coming into the country and THEN decide what to do with the illegals already here.

This is NOT the 1st time we have considered amnesty/granting citizenship to illegals. If we would have closed the borders the LAST time we did so, we would have 12+ MILLION LESS illegal aliens in this country, $10 Billion more in our economy each year (the amount they drain from our economy), and no marches going on across America with Mexican flags being flown higher than the American flag!

It is not freakin' hard, and we don't need NEW legislation, not if we enforce the laws we have! Actually, I can NOTbelieve you are falling for the ol' political ploy right now. They know all they have to do is enforce the old laws, but if they do, it will 'offend' latinos and cause them to possibly lose latino Votes. So, instead of solving the ptoblem, to appease the growing multitude of voices calling for change/a solution, politicians propose NEW legislation, which they have no intention of enforcing, either! If they make the legislation controversial enough, there will be a lot of debate, and the bill might even be rejected - dragging out the issue for years....during which time they pander for the latino vote by selling out America and 'appease' their constituents by telling them they are trying to get something done!

SUCKER!

In an interview on WABC radio, she said: "I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants."

That is from December 2004. The flip flops have already started. She took a look at those crowds and saw all those votes and she did the flip flop boogie.

Welcome to the female version of John Kerry!

THIS is what you get from Hillary! She would sell her mother for a couple votes! She was just declaring how we should legalize the 12+ million illegals because they are the ones who cook our meals, watch our kids, and do our yard work (I personally am not rich enough to have my own gardner, thank you, even an ILLEGAL one).

Now she is on the radio 'opposing' illegal immigration -- Maybe what she is REALLY saying here is that she opposes the immigration laws and just wants to open up the borders completely to anyone who can make it here. Then we will enslave them with out social programs, making them completely dependent on them, and provide them just as long as the middle class can withstand the burden of paying for all those programs for all those foreigners!
