Hillary Clinton Embraces Ideas From Bernie Sanders’s College Tuition Plan

It's free to everyone, and, yes, we all pay.

Why are you so damn discombobulated by "who pays"? For as long as we all benefit?

Moreover, you have not understood we all benefit. In a National Health System, it is the state who decides how much practitioners obtain for each medical act.

Why? Because, HealthCare is not just any "market", where Supply and Demand determines the price. If that were so, why not make the policing a private-market enterprise as well?

We dont all benefit. Some benefit at the cost of others paying. I pay thousands every year for medicare, and receive no benefit. Same for unemployment, welfare, food stamps, education grants, and on and on. I pay, and get nothing in return.

And the reason we dont make policing (national defense really) private market is because we all decided we didnt want to. Give us the same choice with healthcare. Pass an amendment allowing it.

Because you NEED nothing. Lucky you.

Many others are in need. Shall we just attribute that to "bad luck", and move on?

How uncivilized can you get? Selfish is a selfish does ...

we must never forget that the liberal is a morally superior being because he supports welfare no matter how badly it cripples those who receive it!

ECONOMIC FAIRNESS

It is patently obvious, by comments issuing from "liberals", that they haven't the slightest notion of community values.

They live in a trite little world that revolves around them, and only them. What's in it for me, me, me.

Until the fit-hits-the-shan, then they are all yelling, "We gotta doo sumthin!". More than likely it is a knee-jerk to some external threat of no real consequence to the main issue facing America today. Which is that of Income Disparity.

Regardless of the number of times that I show the statistics, they are dismissed by trite comments that refuse to admit the calamity of Income Disparity that is happening to a significant part of the American population - particularly that part below the Poverty Threshold through no fault of their own. These individuals are typically treated as "lazy basterds" who deserve the lot life has handed them.

Have liberals in general forgot the community-values that are (or were) at the heart of the nation. That we were all one, and we all shared a common destiny? That is, until we changed the "level playing field" by means of taxation, thus bringing less Economic Fairness to the communities (of all colours) at the heart of our lives as one nation and one people.

Selfish is as selfish does, which means that either we learn to enhance the lives of the poorest, or the richest will be responsible for the consequences. Whether black or white or tan, lives of us all matter!

The Income Disparity that is tearing this nation apart, caused by the wholly unfair upper-income flat-rate taxation must end. Taxation of the rich benefits only those who become super-rich. There is absolutely no need whatsoever for the accumulation of riches by the upper 5% of families who have garnered most of the Wealth generated initially by the hard work of their fellow Americans.

There is No Viable Reason to have allowed such an injustice. It not justified by any cogent reasoning whatsoever. Except the abject stupidity of: "They earned it!"

A more selfish, self-centered and abject reasoning is unimaginable given the total wealth of the economy, and particularly those who who contributed to build that wealth - the 50% of them who must content themselves with a piddling average wage because of aberrantly unfair upper-income taxation:

As a nation of peoples, we should be ashamed of ourselves. We do not understand how the impact of such a very wide Income Disparity is undoing the social-fabric of the nation. See this article, "This Is How Income Inequality Destroys Societies", excerpt:
If you're at the top, and you think that widening the wealth gap doesn't affect you, let me put this gently: You are completely and totally wrong.

Richard Wilkinson, Professor Emeritus of Social Epidemiology at England's University of Nottingham, recently did a TED Talk about what he found while researching his book about income inequality, The Spirit Level. You can check out his whole presentation here.

The basic thesis is that social ills, like crime and teen pregnancy, that have long been associated with poverty, actually have a stronger correlation with income inequality.

Now, click on the "here" link from the above article for Mr. Wilkinson's very interesting presentation on video.

Civilization only exists because people are selfish. Youre welcome.

Piffle.

It might help if you were able to live in a "civilized country"? Close to half a million American live permanently abroad - for good reason. Our home country has been ruined by the lust for muney, muney, muney .

Not that "elsewhere" is all that better. But, elsewhere we need not get upset by national politics. So, it's easier to bear the infamy of political manipulation for the pursuit of riches. Besides there is no madness-for-money and the pride of shouting to the world, "I made it! I'm a zillionaire!"

(Who the hell cares ... ?)

100k permanently move to the US every year-for good reason.

USSA

https://www.uscis.gov/archive/archive-news/naturalization-fact-sheet

"During the last decade, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) welcomed more than 6.6 million naturalized citizens into the fabric of our nation. In fiscal year 2013, 777,416 individuals were naturalized, and in fiscal year 2014, 654,949 people were naturalized."

We could stand to lose a few million more liberals and socialists.

there is no madness-for-money and the pride of shouting to the world, "I made it! I'm a zillionaire!"

under capitalism a zillionaire has to make a huge contribution to society. For example, for Steve Jobs to have $20 billion in personal wealth he had to make $400 billion in iphone wealth etc available to millions and millions of very eager people. Now you've got the basics-right?
