My point is that not a single one of those voting in the primary has a chance in hell of ever voting for a repub in a general election any way.

So a bunch of dems voted for the more liberal guy, and by a few percentage points only. Hardly special.

If the independents were voting, and there are a whole lot of them in that state, the results could be very different.

The registered dems will vote dem in november. The registered repubs will vote repub. The independents will decide it.
