This is my first time on the debate politics forums so I thought I should introduce myself....here goes!

My name's Megan, I'm fourteen years old and I live in Nottingham (around the middle of England). I'm very interested in politics and debating, which is what led me here. I guess I'm left-wing and liberal about almost every issue, except for abortion which I mostly disagree with. I kind of sway towards the (UK) Labour Party but I'm getting pretty dissatisfied with all of the political parties right now. Of course I'll always detest the Conservatives, but you gotta live with it I hate intolerant and bigoted attitudes, especially any kind of homophobia, racism or sexism. I hope that with this site I've found somewhere to talk about my views and listen to other peoples.... and maybe even learn something! :shock:

Welcome, you certainly are well spoken for your age, and seem quite knowledgable of the issues of the day, but some advice right off the bat.

Be very careful what you type here, conservatives like myself, will always point out hypocrisy, like this.................

Point taken, I did contradict myself there... but I meant the Conservative Party rather than conservative people altogether. Plus, it was a jokey statement, and in my head was the kind of intolerance that causes people to be racist rather than to differ politically.
