No surprise with most of these, they're just trying to prove a point and go against Biden. Funny, we never hear what they think we should do, their position is to do the opposite of what Biden says. I hope the voters in their home districts take notice.
  • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia
  • Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida
  • Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado
  • Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky
  • Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona
  • Rep. Dan Bishop of North Carolina
  • Rep. Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin
  • Rep. Chip Roy of Texas

Reagan is spinning in his grave over those idiots.

It would be bad enough if they were some sort of traitors/corrupt supporters of Putin voting this way and voted this way when it would actually kill the legislation, but they knew their votes would not have any actual benefit to 'their side' and did it to just make a statement they stand with Putin. What the heck.

Exactly, they were just stomping their little feet, holding their breath and throwing a tantrum.

Rep. Roy statement on H.R. 7108

March 17, 2022
WASHINGTON—Rep. Roy issued the following statement Thursday regarding his vote on H.R 7108:
Today I voted against H.R. 7108. I generally support the underlying purpose of this bill, and likely would have voted for it had that been the sole focus. Putin is actively killing thousands of innocent people in an unjust war, de-stabilizing the world economy, and saddling up with China and Iran in the process. This body needs to stop throwing together important legislation at the last minute and allow its members to vote on clean, single-issue bills.
But I have deep concerns about the provisions of this bill that would permanently empower the President with the unilateral authority to issue sanctions against anyone who he deems responsible for an undefined “serious human rights abuse.”
I could not support legislation that hands over more power from Congress to the executive branch on such an ill-defined subject — a position that is the same today as it was during the previous administration.

In truth, I can think of no reason why someone would think Rep Roy a "rotten, deplorable... moron" for objecting on this basis.

Seems the 424 Representatives voting YES had no problems with the bill's language.

I’m only surprised that there aren’t more Republican names on the list.
