Traditionally, I get a fair amount of money to drop on Amazon. I generally read sci/fi/fantasy, though will read just about anything. What should I get this year?

have you read Wicked?

A collection of the old LITTLE NEMO IN SLUMBERLAND would be worth looking at if you have any interest in comics or graphic arts.

I do. Can you tell me about this one?

I suggest The Saga of Seven Suns, by Kevin J Anderson, I just finished reading them, it's a great series.

And hated it. I love the Oz books, and don't think any one should **** with them.

I hated it too. The musical, however, I loved.

Just a question.....where can I get this fair amount of money to drop on amazon? :)

I get it from my relatives for Christmas. Birthday too, but that is a few months away.

if you want to know more about LITTLE NEMO IN SLUMBERLAND, just google it or go to Wikipedia and put it in. Also look for Images when you google it. It is simply the greatest newspaper comic strip ever created.

A simple search will generate tons of stuff for you to look at. Then go to Amazon and see what they have to offer or Ebay has older NEMO that is out of print.

I am eager to hear what you think of it.

Ever consider getting an Ereaders like the kindle, etc?
They release free books for them, from time to time.

I will have to consider that, thank you. Thanks for all the suggestions and keep them coming.

I asked around on Kindle, and my sister has one and loves it, and hints that it might be a Christmas gift.

Off the top of my head:
Policy Books: The Great Crash by John Galbraith (a thoroughly Keynesian take on the great Depression and Galbraith is an engaging writer), , The Rise of the Western World: A New Economic History by North and Thomas (really interesting economic history book covering from after the fall of the Roman empire to the beginning of the Industrial Revolution),
Fiction: The Stranger by Albert Camus (great stream of conscious flow), this is probably public access by now, but Voltaire's Candide always makes me laugh (hysterically).

Stephen Baxter. If you want to read some hard science fiction written by the best.

Aren't you going to boycott Amazon until they stop selling the child porn books?

Le Morte D'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table

The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki

1) no

2) If you are referring to the pedophilia book, they already stopped selling it
