Well figured this is the place to come and say hi. Looking for a replacement board to come to after recently leaving the one I was at for a few years.

Too much bickering and not much debating. So this looks like a good place to hang my hat.

I am a liberal that retired from the military about 3 years ago. I consider myself more left leaning on most topics, however, there are some issues such as gun control that I lean more right of the center on.

I will be sitting back for a while to take in all the posts, but looking forward to posting here and calling it home.

So with that done, :2wave:

Welcome to DP and thanks for serving our country.

let the games begin !

Welcome to DP.

I'm pretty new but I mostly like it here.

Yo, TNE! How goes it? Glad to see ya... again.

lots of bells and whistles here

more than we are used to but it looks good enough for me

plenty of moderators, too!

Thanks for the welcome all.

Major_Baker:: I was in the first gulf war and my unit was in Kuwait for the first part of the second Iraq War. Once Sadaams conventional forces were defeated, my unit returned stateside. I got out shortly after that.

I do not agree with the reasons we went the second time into the Iraq. While there wasn't anything illegal about the invasion (We did use the clause from the U.N. that said we could use force), I felt too much was played on the fears of congress and the American people in regards to WMDs.

Right now, I feel the Iraqi people need to be standing up more. Yes, I know there are thousands signing up for the military and police, but IMO, there should be MILLIONS signing up to protect their country. Sometimes I think many Iraqis are just staying on the side lines to see who wins.

ECW: good to see you again.

WELCOME .....Watch out for grenades.
